Nice course for the money, well kept up and the staff is friendly. The biggest negative is the pace, the Saturday I played it took 6 and a half hours. There was no ranger.

Course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast

First, this course always over books tee times which makes every round 5+ hours. This time they sold us range balls knowing they had a golf clinic going on and the wait for the range was about an hour. Don’t come to this course unless you have 8 hours to waste on a weekend. For a $40 hotdeal, there’s about 10 other courses that are cheaper in Raleigh and the pace of play is so much better

I have played this course several times this year. It has been my favorite local course. However, there are signs of things slipping. The tee boxes are horrible. The fairways are ok. While the grass is good on most greens, it appears that they are about to lose two or three. The grass is not doing well and lots of bare spots on those greens. The value for the money is no longer a bargain, like it used to be.

Enjoyed the round today. It rained hard yesterday but course did not show it at all. Greens rolled true and fairway conditions were great. Would definitely recommend this course for a fun round for any skill level.

I played with a foursome. We were all ready to go at the 1st tee 5 minutes before our start time. Making small talk, I asked the Starter what time he expected the rain to start. In response, he began to scold us for not immediately giving him our tickets when we got them in the club house and said that he let 2 foursomes go ahead of us because of it. ??? He was incredibly rude and disrespectful. Again, it was 5 minutes before our start time! The foursome behind us heard it and told us that they play every week and stopped going there for 6 months because of this guy. It’s a shame, because it’s a nice course.

WilMar isn't the longest course but it's a lot of fun.

Some of the greens are getting a little thin but the rest of the course is in very good condition. It looks like new sand has been added to most of the traps recently. A good play during the week, it can get slow on the weekends.

First time at Wil-Mar and I thought it was a friendly, interesting, fairly easy course -- mostly wide fairways with soe short par 4s and par 5s. I'd heard the greens were in good shape and they seemed to be but they were very slow. There are several interesting and beautiful holes on the back nine. I would like to play the course again, but I'm hesitant because it was the slowest round of golf I've played in several years -- five and a half to six hours. It was quite crowded, in part I assume because it was a Saturday and the Sunday forecast was for thunderstorms, so more people were trying to get a weekend round in. I'm hoping that made today's pace unusual, because there's a lot to like about the place.

Very slow play on the front nine. I believe they had a shot gun start event earlier in the day. At one time there were 3 groups waiting to go off on number 5. Back nine picked up just fine. Course is coming around nicely and the fairways are greening up as well. Will definitely play there again.

First time in months that the course was fairly dry. 18 was still cart path only. Course is greening up nicely! Greens were rolling well. Bunkers were in good shape. Pace was a little slow due to time mismanagement at the turn, but not terrible. 4:25 round.

Would be a 5 star but for little things. No paper towels in the bathroom, couple of the ball washers had no water, starter more friendly.

The greens they put in last season are coming back nicely after a very wet winter. Fairways are still mostly dormant when other area courses are already greening up. Also, very soggy conditions after just one day of recent rain. Pace of play was about average for a Sunday afternoon. Staff are friendly and for 18 with cart under $20 you can’t beat the value, although I wouldn’t pay full price to drive to this course from Durham.

A gem in Raleigh, from the course to the check-in, starter, play, conditions, Bogey's amazing pulled pork and Bogeys Bistro owner, this place is the best. Treat you like family.

It was my first time playing this course and I chose it solely based on reviews on golfadviser and golf now. I was extremely underwhelmed after choosing this course due to all of the great reviews the course had.

In the courses defense it’s still considered winter conditions however it was still in pretty average shape, it’s a short community golf course.

The staff was friendly but I would not pay the money to go back, I would rather pay $15 extra to go and play a different course.

Amazing staff and golf course. The pace was a little bit slow but not bad at all.

The course was in great shape, after all the rain this year.

Everyone from the Pro Shop - Starter - Marshall were very professional and friendly!

The greens are wonderful and I am looking forward to many more days at Wil-Mar!
