Winding Creek Golf Club in Thomasville is an 18-hole municipal course that is one of the most affordable rounds in the area. It is a regulation-length layout that measures 6,367 yards from the tips. The design is a true target-golf test that is player friendly enough for beginners but will also challenge more advanced players. The golf course is perched atop one of the highest points in Davidson County. From elevated tees and greens you can enjoy dramatic views as well as some intimidating shots. It's a golf course that will most likely have you using every club in your bag. Though there is plenty of variety, the course isn't too formidable for high handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Winding Creek also has a putting green and driving range that you can use for warming up.

The course has lots of hills and mounds which makes the course a little tough
The golf course was in great shape except the Green at #15. Howver, the grounds crew were working on it when we were playing so hopefully it will be like the other Green the next time I paly there. Challenging golf course with lots of hills and mounds.
Good course for the price
The course is in pretty good shape right now. Great deal for the money spent on Golfnow.com. Wide variety of shots will be required on this course, ball placement is the key.

Needs work, but not bad
This is your local city/county track, not a lot of money being put on the grounds. But for a cheap economy round and not a whole lot in the area, its not to awful bad. Staff nice.
Great place to play overall
Some of the greens need major help, the fair way we're nice, my other concern is the food, it's horrible the hotdogs and hamburgers taste very old, been precooked for who knows how long, can't be good for you, overall I would recommend any body to play this great challenging course
Greens were ruff
Played on a Sunday, pace of play was good but the greens were pretty ruff. The rough was maintained well and the fairways were mowed good. The staff was cordial but not overly friendly and thats ok. The price was good and we had a good time.
Best value in the area
This course is always in great shape, and is very challenging. A few greens were rough, otherwise I would rate it the best.

Our tee time started 15 minutes late other than that is was good.
This course will challenge you.
You will see a lot of challenging holes on this course. If you do not like blind shots, this is not the course for you.

This course has manicured greens, and good fairways with subtle elevation changes.
wasn't too impressed with golfnow offer
When I got to the course, I presented the coupon only to find out that I didn't need a tee time, I paid tax on a rate that was across the boad for everyone. Wasn't impressed with that.
A very scenic course.
A very scenic course; unfortunately, we played it after NC had received weeks of rain and you could see where the creek rose above its banks. The course was very wet making the course play harder. Would love to play it again when it is dry.

Great course for the money
Hard to complain about unlimited golf for $19. Very pretty setting. Well laid out course. Course was soaked from all the rain and greens were bumpy from people not fixing divots. Looking forward to going back when a little more dry.

Absolutely Fantastic
The course was in superb condition. The fairways were like carpet and the greens were very smooth. A lot of work has been put into this course and it truly shows. And for the value, it is a great deal. We went back again the next day. I definitely recommend checking it out. You will NOT be disappointed.
Winding Creek Wasn't For Me
I played Winding Creek with my wife. Biggest problem with me, I just didn't like the way this course was laid out or played. I have big problems when the tee boxes are even slopped. The greens were very difficult to read-also had a lot of ball marks scaring the greens, not the courses fault. I'm fine playing sloped courses in the Mountain-and at least there, the tee boxes are flat at most good courses. My wife's tee boxes looked even worst-she hated the course. As a positive, the course was very well maintained. Good grass on the fairways and tee boxes. The staff was also nice. One other thing to point out, we were getting bit by a lot of bugs. All in all, I'm not a fan of this course, I do recommend that each person needs to play it and determine for themselves whether they like this course. We played the course from the other reviews and a lot of people like, so play it and you decide.
Fantastic Value Course!
This is a great value course that you can play 18 holes w/cart for an extremely affordable price. Staff is great and friendly. Give Winding Creek a shot and you won't be disappointed.
Great municiple course
Wonderful day golfing. I have played this course before. I took a guest this time and we were both impressed at the course condition. Fairways cut, ruff cut to reasonable height and the greens played well. It will continue to be on our preferred list, most especially because of the green fees offered thru golf now and also because it is a fun course.
Great Times
I had a great time playing at Winding Creek. The course was moderately difficult, but because there's hardly any woods, you never lose a ball! Overall 9/10
The greens were nice!
The greens were nice with minor issues.They were punched,but not all over,just in certain areas.Other than that it is an enjoyable course and fun to play.
