Winding Creek Golf Club in Thomasville is an 18-hole municipal course that is one of the most affordable rounds in the area. It is a regulation-length layout that measures 6,367 yards from the tips. The design is a true target-golf test that is player friendly enough for beginners but will also challenge more advanced players. The golf course is perched atop one of the highest points in Davidson County. From elevated tees and greens you can enjoy dramatic views as well as some intimidating shots. It's a golf course that will most likely have you using every club in your bag. Though there is plenty of variety, the course isn't too formidable for high handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Winding Creek also has a putting green and driving range that you can use for warming up.

Good course no rangers

Had a 330 time and arrive to tee off, there was a group of two ahead of me so I paired up with the single behind me. Course was in good shape, they have recently punched the greens but putting wasn't to bad. The holes are short in comparison to many courses but the challenge are the tightness and hazards that are well placed. The reason I don't recommend this course is the lack of rangers there was a 4some ahead of my group 2 and the one in front of us. This made the round longer than expected

This course will provide anyone with enough challenges to make you want to come back over and over.

This course is truly a hidden gem in the Triad. A great mixture of holes that can truly challenge all aspects of your game with some of the best greens around the area.

Course has great greens.

Winding Creek was a fun playing experience. The staff was very friendly. For my first time, it was challenging to navigate, even with the yardage book. Lots of blind shots and severe lies for a high handicapper (me). Overall, a good experience. I would recommend that everyone attempt to play this course a few times to gain knowledge of the terrain.

Great Layout, But Needs Work

Would not recommend right now. Needs a little TLC. Also the Sunday we arrived WAY overbooked. Had a 12:05 tee time...got off about 12:50. Also noticed lots of 5-somes on the course. Staff was pleasant.

Good course for the money

Not too far from Winston Salem, I would say the overall value of the course is Good.  The fairways were mowed very nicely, but some greens were pretty beat up.

Staff was extremely friendly and the overall experience was absolutely pleasant.

We would definitely go back again!
