Pleasantly surprised
Golf conditions were very good. It’s clear that the owners are putting money into course to improve playing conditions.
Descent Course
Course was in good shape 2 of the holes on the course are a little odd but I enjoyed my round. Beautiful views! Staff was super nice as always. I will come back.
Great course for walking
This course is always very well kept and they always get you out on time. Smaller course but great for walking and has plenty of scoring opportunities. Not too much trouble off the tee but will challenge you to hit good approach shots.

Just Okay
Very friendly staff. Very slow pace of play. 3 carts 5 people ahead of our group of 4. Ranger finally approached them at 18. Even though they were very slow, it was a crowded day so jumping ahead may not have been significantly better. Front 9 was decent but the back 9 holes were rather odd
Overall not a terrible day, but there are several more nicer courses at that price in WNC. Hats off to the staff though! 100% just my opinion.

The course was in exceptional condition. It’s a neat little course to play. It’s fun and it has all kind of different opportunities and short par 5s. On the backside, there’s one hole quiet unusual with powerlines and poles affecting your Ball flight.
Very noce
Very nice shape for the price and close to Asheville. Everyone was very friendly too, would definitely go back👍
Beautiful but slow
Great course. Pace of play is an issue. This is where everyone comes to play. From beginners to scratch golfer. Course can get crowded and slow and some of the holes run along side of each other causing other golfers not confirming their ball and hitting yours. That's my only gripe.
Small Greens, short course, lots of fun
I've played Lake J multiple times. It's a short (5800+ from tips), tight course with small greens. Played 18 solo in just over 2 hours. If you are playing for the first time, 14 and 16 are blind tee shots, make sure to check players in front of you before teeing off. As mentioned, it is tight and possible to have balls from multiple fairways in your fairway. Greens are small, but roll true. The small greens act as a defense to the length. Couldn't get GPS on cart to work, gotta love computers, but the club house took care of me after the round.
