Course should not have been open!!! The grass probably was not cut before, definitely not after hurricane Ida. A recreational golf course does not have 10” rough. The experience was not enjoyable! If you inform people when you aerate, uncut rough should have been expressed for the full price that was charged!!!

Do not play this course at all spend the extra $ on a better course. We couldn't get through 2 holes without getting bite by every bug on the course. Luckily the guys with us had bug spray but that still didn't do anything we should of left after 9 because I could barely focus on hitting my ball when there were bugs flying everywhere around me. Seriously don't play this course I get its cheap but you're going to just be frustrated he entire time with the amount of bugs you deal with. If you hit the ball in the rough don't expect to find your ball.

So I played Brigantine a week or so after a storm blew thru but what a mess! Spotty/bald tee boxes, flooded fairways with dead grass, uncut rough, concrete sand traps, beat up greens. All for the low, low price of $90 per! Speaking of cost, I have a condo in Brigantine so I qualify for the "resident rate" (For which I pay an annual fee). The problem is that I booked it online ON THEIR WEBSITE and I was informed by Gabe in the pro shop that I had to call to get the resident rate. However, he didn't hesitate to repeatedly offer me "golf balls, drinks or snacks". Ridiculous!! Don't waste your time there. Next time, I'm going to a real golf course. Take your pick, anything is better that this dog track.

Started by getting yelled at for being ready at 7:00 for my 7:10 tee time. Idk how thats late. Then played a flooded, cart path only round that looked like they forgot about the rough a month ago. Not worth the money. Makes sense why its the cheapest course in the area

Booked this as a last resort and wish I had a mulligan. The pro was working and seemed overwhelmed with running the pro shop on this Saturday morning.. The weather was iffy but we got out a little early and was able to get in 10 holes before the storms cleared out the course. Went to get a rain check for the back nine but since we had already played the 10th, was only given a rain check for eight holes - a $33.62 value which doesn't add up since we paid $89. Surprised to say the least especially since it was cart path only and the course was unplayable after the storms.

The course conditions were less than what I expected for this price. The pro shop attendant was too sassy for his boots. Then after the skys opened up and we could not play the course anymore, he gave us a rain check for 8 holes and less than the value of the real value. How sad when you're charging so much for a poorly conditioned course.

John at the pro shop is a great ambassador of the course. Friendly and helpful. Pro shop fully stocked. The pub-halfway is a great place to cool off with a beverage with a friendly bartender. Course is in excellent shape (keep in mind that this is a links style course carved out of marshlands.) Excellent greens. Putts roll nice and true (not overly tricked up). Keep out of the rough, especially after have rain when they can’t trim it. Great day.

Staying on the island meant I could get to my early tee time without getting up before dawn. The GolfNow deal was excellent. The course was is good shape, particularly the greens. A few bare spots and swampy areas were annoying, but it was fine in the fairways. A few flies, but not so many as to create unpleasantness, and the general care for the place was evident. Some new blacktop, for example, has replaced the potholes on the paths I recall from last year. The layout is challenging, lots of places to lose balls if you don’t hit it straight and clear the hazards.

It had rained two inches the day before. So cart path only, and no roll on fairways. I will come back again. I thought it was nice.

Expected more aesthetics from an island course..

Boring , confusing layout ..typical abrasive person in pro shop..if your staying in brigantine , and are dying to play golf, not terrible ..but I expected more

The Positive is the Greens were well maintained for the "most part". The Negatives begin with the rough being so thick in places that just finding your ball was very difficult. The worst part about our round were the bugs. We were eaten alive by Gnats & Mosquitoes almost all day - despite being covered with bug spray. It is 100% clear that this facility puts zero money into the course (which could be very nice with some maintenance & attention). In addition to the Tee Boxes, Fairways & Rough being poorly maintained, there was a huge hole (5 Ft Wide and 6 inches deep) on the 15th green!! Seriously!!?? How is it possible that the folks that run this place wouldn't have at least patched or sodded that? Lastly, since this is a public course, near the Atlantic City Boardwalk, why in the world wouldn't they have a beverage cart out there, especially on a sweltering 90 degree day? I guess it's all about the money, & this place has zero desire to put any back into its facility, which is a shame.

The only positive thing I have to say about this course is the greens were maintained. The rough was so thick that more times than not you couldn’t find a ball hit into the rough. The worst part about our experience was the bugs. We were all eaten alive by mosquitoes to the point that we thought about stopping before completing all 18. We were swatting bugs in between practice swings and while riding in the cart. This experience was not worth the cost.

This place is littered with mosquitos and bugs to a point where even bug spray wont do anything. The course is somewhat maintained but not up to par with many of the other courses nearby

We play here regularly. Course was a bit wet but all in all is a fantastic place to play. Greens in nice shape.
