About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Surprisingly nice and convenient too
Staying on the island meant I could get to my early tee time without getting up before dawn. The GolfNow deal was excellent. The course was is good shape, particularly the greens. A few bare spots and swampy areas were annoying, but it was fine in the fairways. A few flies, but not so many as to create unpleasantness, and the general care for the place was evident. Some new blacktop, for example, has replaced the potholes on the paths I recall from last year. The layout is challenging, lots of places to lose balls if you don’t hit it straight and clear the hazards.

It had rained two inches the day before. So cart path only, and no roll on fairways. I will come back again. I thought it was nice.

Swamp
Don’t play after a rainy day..reservoirs in the fairways ..
Expected more aesthetics from an island course..
Boring , confusing layout ..typical abrasive person in pro shop..if your staying in brigantine , and are dying to play golf, not terrible ..but I expected more

First Time - Last Time
The Positive is the Greens were well maintained for the "most part". The Negatives begin with the rough being so thick in places that just finding your ball was very difficult. The worst part about our round were the bugs. We were eaten alive by Gnats & Mosquitoes almost all day - despite being covered with bug spray. It is 100% clear that this facility puts zero money into the course (which could be very nice with some maintenance & attention). In addition to the Tee Boxes, Fairways & Rough being poorly maintained, there was a huge hole (5 Ft Wide and 6 inches deep) on the 15th green!! Seriously!!?? How is it possible that the folks that run this place wouldn't have at least patched or sodded that? Lastly, since this is a public course, near the Atlantic City Boardwalk, why in the world wouldn't they have a beverage cart out there, especially on a sweltering 90 degree day? I guess it's all about the money, & this place has zero desire to put any back into its facility, which is a shame.

Would not play this course again
The only positive thing I have to say about this course is the greens were maintained. The rough was so thick that more times than not you couldn’t find a ball hit into the rough. The worst part about our experience was the bugs. We were all eaten alive by mosquitoes to the point that we thought about stopping before completing all 18. We were swatting bugs in between practice swings and while riding in the cart. This experience was not worth the cost.

This place is littered with mosquitos and bugs to a point where even bug spray wont do anything. The course is somewhat maintained but not up to par with many of the other courses nearby

Overall course in good condition. Greens in great shape but fairways and tee boxes need work. Pace of play right at 4 hours. I would play here again when in town.

Good experience
Played the course for the first time and enjoyed it. The layout allows for a lot of different clubs off tees and some tricky but fun par 4s. The greens are hard, fast a d in perfect shape. The rest of the course could definitely use a pick me up, but you get what you get in a muni. I will say it really helped to have a “regular” in our group who helped us out with son tricky tee shots.
Overall a fun course that I’d definitely play again.

Very nice place to play. It had poured the night before so it was wet and cart path only. Lovely homes surround the course. Interesting layout. I would recommend it over Mays Landing 100%. Great value for seniors

Walk up rate was cheaper than online rate
Walk up rate was $56. I ended up paying $59 because I used their online web reservation.
Employee claimed he knew nothing about this. I paid $100 upon arrival for two, and the web service charged my cc an additional $18.
Looks like they need more help there.
Course was in good shape. Cart paths still need work. No beverage cart on the course the time I was there from 1:45 to 6:15.

Always a fun layout
Links golf, sort of. Conditions were good it has been a wet summer so grass and greens are in top shape. Not playing fast& hard like a links course. Not sure this course is worth rack rate $85 on fri-sun but always a fun track with good variety of holes that won't beat you up.
