About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Was fun despite drawbacks
Greens were in great shape. Fairways bumpy. Grass can be cut more often as balls in fair position are hidden under grass heavy. Course layout was good with a number of cover shots to take off tee and at the flag. Bring insect repellent, was surprised at near ocean presence of mosquitoes. Course is somewhat short, maxing at 6500 yards, so I played championship tees. Golf pro shop attendant could have been more pleasant. Overall, I would recommend based on price, proximity to AC, and beaches, and nice shape of greens.

Fun round of golf
Greens in great shape, tee boxes were groomed and level and fairways were satisfactory. Rough was high and mosquitos were bothersome.. Overall a pleasant experience.

Strong layout. Great greens
Brigantine Golf Links is an underrated course with excellent greens and a very nice links style layout. Sept/Oct are great times to enjoy this course.

Course condition
Grass on the rough hasn’t been mowed. If you’re a high handicap golfer, when you play here, bring plenty of golf balls because you will not find your golf ball in the rough.

Has potential to be a good course
Course maintenance and general upkeep was fair.
Grass and weeds were much to high even adjacent to fairways. Cart paths need repaying.
Some of the problem areas could have been due to current weather conditions but some were clearly not.

Day Round
Fairways and Tee Boxes are patchy and broken up. The rough was insane. All over. They were cutting but what they left was still too much. Course overgrown real bad. Greens great but rest of track was in poor shape for this time of year. Bring your sickle club. Or weed whacker.

Course should not have been open!!! The grass probably was not cut before, definitely not after hurricane Ida. A recreational golf course does not have 10” rough. The experience was not enjoyable! If you inform people when you aerate, uncut rough should have been expressed for the full price that was charged!!!

Bug Bites
Do not play this course at all spend the extra $ on a better course. We couldn't get through 2 holes without getting bite by every bug on the course. Luckily the guys with us had bug spray but that still didn't do anything we should of left after 9 because I could barely focus on hitting my ball when there were bugs flying everywhere around me. Seriously don't play this course I get its cheap but you're going to just be frustrated he entire time with the amount of bugs you deal with. If you hit the ball in the rough don't expect to find your ball.

Don't waste your $$
So I played Brigantine a week or so after a storm blew thru but what a mess! Spotty/bald tee boxes, flooded fairways with dead grass, uncut rough, concrete sand traps, beat up greens. All for the low, low price of $90 per! Speaking of cost, I have a condo in Brigantine so I qualify for the "resident rate" (For which I pay an annual fee). The problem is that I booked it online ON THEIR WEBSITE and I was informed by Gabe in the pro shop that I had to call to get the resident rate. However, he didn't hesitate to repeatedly offer me "golf balls, drinks or snacks". Ridiculous!! Don't waste your time there. Next time, I'm going to a real golf course. Take your pick, anything is better that this dog track.

Bad all around
Started by getting yelled at for being ready at 7:00 for my 7:10 tee time. Idk how thats late. Then played a flooded, cart path only round that looked like they forgot about the rough a month ago. Not worth the money. Makes sense why its the cheapest course in the area

Wish I had a mulligan
Booked this as a last resort and wish I had a mulligan. The pro was working and seemed overwhelmed with running the pro shop on this Saturday morning.. The weather was iffy but we got out a little early and was able to get in 10 holes before the storms cleared out the course. Went to get a rain check for the back nine but since we had already played the 10th, was only given a rain check for eight holes - a $33.62 value which doesn't add up since we paid $89. Surprised to say the least especially since it was cart path only and the course was unplayable after the storms.
Sorry I booked
The course conditions were less than what I expected for this price. The pro shop attendant was too sassy for his boots. Then after the skys opened up and we could not play the course anymore, he gave us a rain check for 8 holes and less than the value of the real value. How sad when you're charging so much for a poorly conditioned course.

Brig
John at the pro shop is a great ambassador of the course. Friendly and helpful. Pro shop fully stocked. The pub-halfway is a great place to cool off with a beverage with a friendly bartender. Course is in excellent shape (keep in mind that this is a links style course carved out of marshlands.) Excellent greens. Putts roll nice and true (not overly tricked up). Keep out of the rough, especially after have rain when they can’t trim it. Great day.

Surprisingly nice and convenient too
Staying on the island meant I could get to my early tee time without getting up before dawn. The GolfNow deal was excellent. The course was is good shape, particularly the greens. A few bare spots and swampy areas were annoying, but it was fine in the fairways. A few flies, but not so many as to create unpleasantness, and the general care for the place was evident. Some new blacktop, for example, has replaced the potholes on the paths I recall from last year. The layout is challenging, lots of places to lose balls if you don’t hit it straight and clear the hazards.
