About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Bugs, Bugs, and more Bugs
The mosquitos, black flies and green heads are unbearable on this course. For the price you pay, its an absolute ripoff. The round is impossible to enjoy with how bad the bugs are, not worth the money at all. I wouldn’t pay $20 to play here again.

Average course
Nothing too fancy about this course, particularly for the price compared to other courses in the area. The greens are in fantastic shape but the fairways and rough are pretty beat up in a lot of places.
I would recommend having the pro shop open up before the 1st tee time in order to have golfers go off at their booked tee time. Also would suggest having a beverage cart if this course is trying to compete with other courses at the same price point.

Definitely Worth Your Try
I played late on a Sunday afternoon and got right out. I was hoping for a retired military discount but they only apply on weekdays. ($45 I am told). Very friendly staff. I was a single and breezed through the course. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Although not a long course, the wind will play into your round and it's a factor. It's a bit over priced when compared to McCullough's or Twisted Dunes or Hot Deals on Golf Now, but if you're staying on Brigantine, the convenience is a big factor. It has a charm to it which you should experience.

Awesome course, BRING BUG SPRAY
The horse flies and mosquitos will eat you for lunch. Bring bug spray and ignore the trails of oil the lawnmower is leaving all over the greens and you will have a great day!

course is in fantastic condition
course is in great condition. greens are true. grass is dense on fairways. low weeds. wet but too much rain. make sure you bring strong bug repellent.

Nice course to play once
The layout of the course is great. The traps, water hazards and reeds make the course challenging. Most courses with all the rain we had, most courses are in great shape. The course is already getting burnt up, the sand traps have numerous weeds, and a lot of crabgrass. With much needed maintenance, the course would be quite attractive.

Hole in one!
Played with family over vacation. We got off early at 7am (a must for July). The course is in good condition. Near the North End of the island famous for our “Green Head” friends. Make sure to bring plenty of bug spray and “Skin So Soft” (South Jersians will know what this is). My son had a hole in one on the #15 par 3. A very nicely laid out hole! The staff was gracious and gave me a discount so I could buy my son an actual hole flag!! What a great day!!!

Lost Opportunity
I have been playing this course since 1972, and I've always enjoyed the layout. After it was purchased, a couple decades ago, and improved, I was so excited. However. It appears the facilities have been in decline ever since. The club house is worn, the cart paths are in poor condition, there is no help available outside. This excellent layout is run as the second rate municipal course its owners apparently want.

Most unfriendly staff... Except for the women working the bar. She was great.
If you have the first tee time, don't arrive early. We arrived at 6:00am for our 6:30 tee time and everything was closed. A sign on the pro shop door said the course doesn't open until 6:30 and there was no place to wait other than near the practice green. There was a grounds keeper rolling the practice green and once he was finished, we started putting to kill time. Immediately, another greens keeper started yelling at the person rolling the green saying the course doesn't open until 6:30 and to kick us off the practice green if we were in his way, which we weren't since we waited until he was finished working. The course itself was in good condition but make sure to bring bug spray. There are flys everywhere. The round itself was fine until we got to the 18th green where the same greens keeper who yelled at us earlier kept watering the green during our approach shots and through our putting and even had his phone go off while we were still putting out. Next time, we'll spend the extra money to go somewhere that treats their patrons a little better.

What we liked, what we didn’t
What we liked:
1) cheap 6:45am rate $35 per player
2) fast pace of play on a slow Tuesday summer morning
3) condition of greens - smooth and fast
4) challenging hole design
5) tough slopes on greens and difficult pin placements
What we didn’t like:
1) some holes had hidden tee landing spots for rear tees, presenting an extra challenge for first-timers here; a course guide would be helpful
2) couldn’t find on-course restrooms (may have been locked)
3) cart paths are a mess
Contrary to previous reviews, we found the fairways in very good shape, but the tee boxes needed some rest and recovery. We also disagree with previous reviewers that houses next to the some of the holes were too close to fairways. We realize this is a matter of opinion, but our group never had trouble with the houses coming into play because they were too close. If we hit anywhere near someone’s backyard, it was because our shots went way off target.

Make sure to get a good deal
Everything about the course was in good shape except for the tee boxes. Some tough holes, but an overall fun course. I would definitely recommend if you can get a good deal.

Not worth the money
This is not a 61 dollar course in any day. We got it for 61 on a hot deal. Needs major work. Pace of play was terrible

I enjoy the true links nature of this course.
The residential neighborhoods typically do not enter into play. The course melds with the surrounding natural setting.
The greens rolled true.
The staff was exceptional.
I enjoyed the attitude of the young man in the pro shop. He was all about golf, as it should be.

Fun
Course was in great shape but last year the course had directional sticks that were missing thisyear. They should put them back. There should be better hole layouts on the score card.
