Brigantine Golf Links
About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Swollen elbow from mosquito bites Photo submitted by khatchad on 08/19/2019
Great shore deal
Nice course with a variety of challenging holes protected by bunkers and water. The greens and fairways were very well maintained. One caveat: There's lots of houses lining the fairways, so beware of landing a ball in someone's yard or, worse yet, the sound of a ball bouncing off a roof. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Just wish they had a range.
True links coarse
Beautiful links course 14 water holes battling the bay breeze and ocean winds greens are good speed a lot of fun
Mosquitoes in every hole!!
The putting green was in perfect condition. The fairways and greens were well maintained. Degree of difficulty for a senior like me was just about right. They should tell golfers to bring mosquito repellent. Mosquitoes out there are ferocious. I played here two years ago and they were then doing some repairs in the clubhouse. They still are. They had a funs on but the A/C was not on. It wasn't overly warm inside but it would have been more comfortable if the A/C was on. Staff was friendly. I don't think we'll come back here.
Easy buy fun
I liked the course, however there are some things I did not like. The layout was good. most holes had some variety and offered different looks. The course was in good shape but it had too much crab grass for my liking in the rough. Greens were in great shape. The big negative was the fly/mosquitoes. I was continuously bitten and even Off didn't work. I came home with welts all over my legs. Still itching 3 days later.
Open Layout with fast greens.
Fun little course in a nice neighborhood. The fairways and rough could use some love but the greens were fast and in excellent shape.
Great layout
Very interesting course. Very strong layout. Greens in very good shape. 15 is a super par three.
Nice course for the price
Interesting layout with some challenging and tricky holes. Good condition mostly but they should cut the rough a little more. Found many balls buried in grass while looking for mine.
Disappointed
It was promoted on Golf Nowas including LUNCH - well I suppose it was if your definition of lunch at a golf course is a 4 1/2 " frankfurter w/bun and a 1 oz bag of chips - Period. Correct-not a bottle or glass of water or soda included!
The greens were in very good condition.
I cannot say the same for the fairways, rough or bunkers- overall, not a good value for $49.
Links style course
Course is overpriced, we played day after rain, drainage is not good. Flies are a problem this time of year, would play again in dry conditions in spring or fall.
Horrible
Absolutely horrible. No driving range, no rental clubs, horse flys, green heads to the point where it was hard to take the club back without getting bit. Spent over $200.00 for three players and quit after 12 holes. I used to live near the course 15 years ago and it was much better at that time. Never be back!!!!!!
Had Fun, course was fair
The mosquitoes were horrendous on holes 17 k18. We played at 2:20 in the afternoon, so not exactly prime time. We had 2 foursomes & had a good time, bar was closed when we finished so couldn't tally our scores and determine winning foursome. The course conditions were not the best, tees needed grooming, they were in bad shape.
Bring Bug Spray
Course has a neat layout and very pretty greens but that's about all it has going for it. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough were all in awful shape. The course doesn't drain well so it was cart path only the entire round for us which was quite annoying. On the SECOND hole the ranger came up to us and told us to pick up the pace of play because they had a logjam behind us. We were all experienced golfers playing at a good speed. We were so annoyed considering we were there 30 minutes before our tee time and the logjam was clearly the course's fault. We only saw 2 coolers to refill water on the entire course and one of them was empty. The green heads are nasty and will harass you your entire round; bug spray is a must. If you're looking to play a links course in the Atlantic City area McCullough's in Egg Harbor Township is a much better choice. They are similarly priced and McCullough's is in much better condition--actually giving you the feeling like you are on a nice country club like course.
Great Staff
Played this course twice in 2 days. Did not know where to hit it 1st day b/c was not clear what direction it was going.
Lowered score 8 shots next round. Conditions good with quick greens.
Staff in Proshop was great and nice bartenders / kitchen staff.
Would play again.
Course needs TLC
Course looked tired and under maintained. No visual difference between the fairway and the rough. Lost 3 balls in the rough among the clover. The best part of the course were the greens; they weren't fast but they rolled true.
