About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Not worth the price of admission
We were the second scheduled tee time on a Sunday morning (7:08). We pulled up and there was only 1 employee doing everything (carts, pro shop, starter). The greens were very wet early morning and not rolled. There was no grounds crew working. The rough has lots of crab grass. The boxes were chewed up on most holes. Many ball marks left in greens (I don’t fault facility for that). Given the cost of golf these days $90 doesn’t seem terrible, but there are better options within 30 minutes.
I’ve seen the course in better shape
I play this course almost every time I’m in the AC area. The course has always been great. But not this time. Course was very muddy Fairways and tee boxes were pretty beat up. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Just Ok
Course was very wet but hadn’t rained in days. Fairways were run down in areas that were just mud. Greens were fast and beautiful. For the money not bad but course needs some work.

There was minimal staff and they didn't even have water on the course in the water coolers.

Not bad
Nice layout but no views of bay or ocean. Played after storm and very wet with large puddled.

Challenging course
This course could be so much better with a little more TLC and better drainage.
Good layout but the course has fairways that are just a swamp. Terrible drainage and the greens need some TLC. For the cost of $95 you would think they would put a little more $$$ into caring for the course.

Decent enough
The lady running the pro shop was very nice and helpful. The course itself was decent. Played on better and on worse courses. A lot of the fairways were incredibly narrow and there was grass missing in the most random places. No one was behind us rushing so that nice. The bar manager left and locked up early without notifying any of the players though. That was unsavory.

Course
The course greens are in fine shape. The course overall has improved over the years. There are still many weedy grasses in the fairway and rough hat affect the play a little. Still a very nice course and one of my favorite.

Rough shape
Unfortunately, the course is in rough shape. Fairways were full of goose poop and unmowed. The greens were like shag rugs. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. The course was better last summer.

Just Average
The course has a decent layout but it's a hundred years old and built on very low ground. Although it was low tide, which you can smell on some holes, there was a lot of standing water. Speaking of water, although it was the middle of July there was exactly ONE water station on the entire course. The front nine has new cart paths and the back nine paths were truly awful. The fairways were in decent condition for July. The greens were in very good condition but slow. We paid $65 for a 230 tee time. This is the only course on this island. Compared to other area courses it's a $35 course. There are no bag drop services. My wife and I both shot 84. This is a typical public course for local retired guys.

It’s legitimate they had us start on the 9th hole that day. It's all subjective regardless being an "intermediate".
I would rather have a half full ice cold drink and be golfing now! Get out there enjoy and have fun!

Weeds and flooded fairways
Played twice this week. First the 5th hole was flooded, despite no rain. Second round the 18th was flooded again no rain. The Sunday morning pro shop staff was eh.
