About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Rough shape
Unfortunately, the course is in rough shape. Fairways were full of goose poop and unmowed. The greens were like shag rugs. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. The course was better last summer.

Just Average
The course has a decent layout but it's a hundred years old and built on very low ground. Although it was low tide, which you can smell on some holes, there was a lot of standing water. Speaking of water, although it was the middle of July there was exactly ONE water station on the entire course. The front nine has new cart paths and the back nine paths were truly awful. The fairways were in decent condition for July. The greens were in very good condition but slow. We paid $65 for a 230 tee time. This is the only course on this island. Compared to other area courses it's a $35 course. There are no bag drop services. My wife and I both shot 84. This is a typical public course for local retired guys.

It’s legitimate they had us start on the 9th hole that day. It's all subjective regardless being an "intermediate".
I would rather have a half full ice cold drink and be golfing now! Get out there enjoy and have fun!

Weeds and flooded fairways
Played twice this week. First the 5th hole was flooded, despite no rain. Second round the 18th was flooded again no rain. The Sunday morning pro shop staff was eh.

Over priced
If I didn’t get a hot deal price I’d be very disappointed for what a round cost not worth it

Pro Shop Woes
- Guy in the pro shop was rude and dismissive of concerns; very happy to take your money
however.
- Swamped after moderate rainfall.
- HORRIBLE bunkers. More akin to rock pits than sand.
- Poor pace of play (4 hours 40 minutes)

Overpriced
For the amount you spend to play this course, you can go 5-10 minutes away and play much better for the the same price or even cheaper. The greens are swamped, crab grass is everywhere restricting fairway and rough play. Areas around the pin are unmanaged and feels as if your playing in the middle of a swamp. There are muddy patches and sink holes on the green as pictured. Will not be playing here again.
