About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

Blue Heron Pines south Jersey
Have played there before many times , was with 2 people that never played there and they also enjoyed course .
Nice day and course
The day was right for golfing, sun , breezy and no rain. The course was in good shape as per par, the locals say the greens are being over seeded due to the weather., some tan slower.
The transition from front to back through the starter and parking lot area before crossing the street is different
Rained Out
Was rained out for my round, scheduled for 2:30 pm. Phoned and was told there would be a rain delay. Arrived, waited until approx. 3:30 and was told the course would not be opening due to conditions. GN has not offered to refund my booking fee. The course closure was handled adequately by the management.
Course superintendent needs to up his game.
Play this course regularly. Love everything about playing here with friends. Played course 2x in last two weeks and after green aeration things should have improved in last month.
Disappoied as fairways,teeboxes and bunkers and rough were in average to poor shape.
We have had a lot of rain so the greens should have recovered been cut & rolled bur they are bumpy. Hope that with continued cool weather they can get this course back up to expected conditions.
Was a good golf course at one time
Greens were aerated and top dressed. Golf now did not mention this at the time of booking. I called the course and was told aeration was completed 10 days prior.
Fairways were also aerated. Not mentioned by staff.
Material used for top dressing of fairways was mulch.
Any pride this golf course formerly had is now gone.
It Doesn’t Go Unnoticed
This isn’t the first time I’ve played this course, and I like almost everything about it, but what stands out most is the people who work there. Everyone, whether in the golf shop, the bag drop, or the restaurant is kind, courteous and professional at all times. It doesn’t go unnotice, always making it an enjoyable experience.
Leaf problem
We had an awful time with the leaves and group behind us must have not bothered to look for balls. They were members and annoying.
