Little Mountain Country Club
About
Located just 35 minutes from Cleveland, Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is known throughout the area for its bunkers. Deep hardly begins to describe them and they border both the greensides and fairways. Although the cavernous bunkers are challenging, they are strategically placed to provide a challenge for better golfers but there is still ample room for less advanced players. The intimidatingly steep walls go as deep as 20 feet below the putting surface, they are enough to scare even the most seasoned golfers. The layout has diverse mix of holes that require the use of all the clubs in your bag. Little Mountain Country Club finishes with a dramatic par 4 that is one of the golf course's most difficult holes. The five-star-rated Little Mountain is well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh or Columbus.

Great place
One of the beat places I ever played. Will be back soon
Mediocre conditions take the air out of a solid layout.
I’d have a hard time recommending this course. The layout has so much potential, but the conditions simply miss the mark. There are worse conditioned courses in the area for sure. But Little Mountain disappoints more than those courses because the layout makes you feel like it should just be better. Scruffy, rock hard tee boxes; bunkers that just look uncared for. I got excited when the rate on a midday Saturday was only 45.00, but soon realized they’re just churning out rounds-at a five hour pace-but sadly the money doesn’t seem to be going back into the course
Little Mountain is Awesome
First, I live west of Cleve, and only play Little Mountain once every few years; it is fun! A few long par 4's, especially this day into the wind on #10 &13, but then again made #18 (for example) easier. Greens in nice shape, just because I putted poorly (Stevie Wonder w/turrets), don't mean they're not great.. The course was crowded this day, Junior Tourney in morning, but pace was good for our 3some, and Thanx to GN for the noon Hot Deals Special --awesome value for Little Mountain.
Love this place
Wanted to play this course for a while and finally got back to it. Just a great course overall. Greens were a little beat up to start the season but it’s beginning of May and all this corona garbage going on so the greens were still acceptable. Good speed and movement, best type of greens. Still love the layout, course plays well and is an overall good test. Worth the 50 minute drive. I’d golf here every week if it weren’t so far away.
Great layout, super fast greens
The course was in good condition and the greens were lightning fast! So fast they had to water them mid round just to slow them down.
Fairways are tight but they were punching them in preparation for top dressing. If you want to play after 6/3, call the clubhouse and ask how the fairways are!!
Best course in northeast Ohio
always look so forward to playing this course. Love it.
Course was not in very good condition (bunkers and greens are terrible).
Other courses in the area are in much better condition. Their attempt to raise the cups during this virus outbreak was lame. They need to ensure social distancing between golfers near the clubhouse is enforced!!!
A shell of itself
Course and amenities have gotten consistently worse since i started playing course 10 years ago. They got rid of the cart GPS. They got rid of the ball and club washers on the carts. The bathrooms on the course are non functional and they just parked porta-potties in front of them. Recently they were basically giving away memberships in a money grab. Now the pace of play is always horrible and there are a bunch of hacks everywhere. The clubhouse staff is not friendly and when I went to pay for my round last time i was informed that our tee time was double-booked. A course that used to be a top 3 in our group's rotation is now a last resort.
What a shame....
This place used to be a great local place to play. Back in the day with on cart GPS and beautiful sand traps. Now it's so overbooked you need at least 5 hours to play a round and a helmet to make sure you don't get knocked out by a stray ball. Kid behind the counter seems annoyed to be there almost as much as I was after 3 holes. Score cards are now printed off a black and white printer as if you're at a cheap put put course. I'm skeptical this place will be open much longer given the rapid downward spiral.
A true must play course if you plan to play in NE Ohio
Excellent course layout, the conditions were great, the weather was phenomenal, the pace of play was good, and we even had a Jimmy Hanlin sighting on hole #7. I probably have him to thank for the 30 foot birdie putt I drained. For $42 with a cart you really can’t do any better. Will definitely be back.
Expected better
I’m really not sure what happened Saturday. I booked my tee time at 9:48am and the starter wouldn’t let my 2 some go out before the “outing” of 5 foursomes even though we were ready and the outing was late to get started. We ended up teeing off at 10:15. The pace of play was the worst I’ve ever experienced there. At the turn I found out why. There was a sixsome two groups in front of me. I alerted the starter. He caught up to the group on the 12th tee and did not break them up. He told me that there were way too many people on the course that day. I’m sorry but that’s not my fault and I specifically get early tee times to avoid 5 hour rounds. I was very disappointed ended up with a 5.5 hour round. The course itself is in good condition and the greens were nice and fast.
Nice course
Everything was excellent, aside from a twosome in front of us, father son, played extremely slow as the father was attempting to teach his son to play. God conditions. Fast greens everything was cut very good.
Bill from Akron
Little Mountain is a premier course unfortunately last Saturday it was in terrible condition. The greens were freshly irritated and sandy almost unputtable. They failed to indicate this when I booked the TTime. The bunkers were unraked and in poor condition. I know it’s early spring but most courses have done at minimal maintenance to there courses. We will probably not go back until July or August. Hopefully the course will be back to its premier condition.
I don't recommend
My tee time was pushed back without notice. We waited every shot on every hole. We don't like playing 6 hour rounds. I won't play this course again.
They were aerating the tees and they left the plugs. Had to clean an area to tee from. Not to mention the mud on your spikes.
Sounds like this guy is Jimmy Hamlin's brother or an employee at Little Mountain. Overrated!!
