Little Mountain Country Club
About
Located just 35 minutes from Cleveland, Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is known throughout the area for its bunkers. Deep hardly begins to describe them and they border both the greensides and fairways. Although the cavernous bunkers are challenging, they are strategically placed to provide a challenge for better golfers but there is still ample room for less advanced players. The intimidatingly steep walls go as deep as 20 feet below the putting surface, they are enough to scare even the most seasoned golfers. The layout has diverse mix of holes that require the use of all the clubs in your bag. Little Mountain Country Club finishes with a dramatic par 4 that is one of the golf course's most difficult holes. The five-star-rated Little Mountain is well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh or Columbus.

Hit the breaks!
I decided to play LM for the first time this year and I'm glad I did. Teed off just before 10 and it took about 4 hours even to play. Everything went well out on the course and I was surprised to see the conditions this time of year.
The fairways and rough were excellent condition, so if you hit the fairway your ball rolled out nicely. The greens were even in great shape too. Might be too firm and fast for lesser experienced players or those who like slow greens. Took a few holes to get the pace, but they rolled true with very little bounce.
The only thing negative is that most bunkers were untouched and had footprints all over and no rakes (thanks Covid). Also no water on the course, so bring a gallon with you if its a hot day.
As long as I can get a hot deal, I will certainly be back more often. Looking forward to this place in the fall!
Great Course, horrible pace
I have always enjoyed the course and the layout. Everything was in very good shape, even considering it has poured earlier in the day. Greens smooth, fast, and true. It drains really well and was not impacted at all by the wet. The pace was absolutely abysmal however. Some tee boxes were 3 groups deep. The pace improved some on the back, only to slam back to an even worse halt on about the 15th with what appeared to be families who live on the course jumping in and grinding the last several holes to a halt. We couldn't even finish the 17th hole before it was pitch dark. Never saw a ranger all day. So it was fun, while you were playing and not waiting.
Friendly staff
Staff was friendly. Pace of play was a little slow...even for a weekend. Great golf course though!!
Overall good course.
Overall a good course but you can tell it was better years back. Missing bunkers and some bunkers are in bad shape. Fairways were in good shape. Greens are fast!! They need to be watered but over all good. I’d play it again.
Fun layout and fast greens
Fun layout with the fastest greens in north East Ohio. Played a bunch of different tracks over the past few months and these greens are by far the quickest in the area. Plays relatively short from the white tees but ball placement on the greens is key. If you’re above the hole, lag it and hope to keep it close to save a 2 putt. Some holes are close together so keep your head on a swivel and listen for “fours” being shouted. Definitely ride because the tee boxes are far from one another. Overall solid track and a must play if you appreciate a fast and true roll.
Well-maintained and plentiful sand traps
Well-maintained and plentiful sand traps. I had always thought this course was private and was pleasantly surprised to see that it is public. The scenery is quite beautiful, with many elevation changes. The course does not play as hard as you would think it should based upon the layout and the sand traps. A lot of fun..
Great layout, great condition
used golfnow hot deal for a nice discount. This is probably the 4th or 5th time playing the course. First time in a few years. Course was in great shape. Played back tees which was probably biting off a bit too much with 3 par 4's on back nine over 450 yards. Had 8:00 AM tee time but greens already firm and fast. Pace of play very good. Only had to wait on a few shots. Can't really comment on off course amenities due to Covid-19 restrictions. Only comment was process for making the turn to the back nine - ended up driving through area of parked carts queued up for next golfers because there wasn't directions on how to get to back nine (minor issue, but wanted to share).
Great place
One of the beat places I ever played. Will be back soon
Mediocre conditions take the air out of a solid layout.
I’d have a hard time recommending this course. The layout has so much potential, but the conditions simply miss the mark. There are worse conditioned courses in the area for sure. But Little Mountain disappoints more than those courses because the layout makes you feel like it should just be better. Scruffy, rock hard tee boxes; bunkers that just look uncared for. I got excited when the rate on a midday Saturday was only 45.00, but soon realized they’re just churning out rounds-at a five hour pace-but sadly the money doesn’t seem to be going back into the course
Little Mountain is Awesome
First, I live west of Cleve, and only play Little Mountain once every few years; it is fun! A few long par 4's, especially this day into the wind on #10 &13, but then again made #18 (for example) easier. Greens in nice shape, just because I putted poorly (Stevie Wonder w/turrets), don't mean they're not great.. The course was crowded this day, Junior Tourney in morning, but pace was good for our 3some, and Thanx to GN for the noon Hot Deals Special --awesome value for Little Mountain.
Love this place
Wanted to play this course for a while and finally got back to it. Just a great course overall. Greens were a little beat up to start the season but it’s beginning of May and all this corona garbage going on so the greens were still acceptable. Good speed and movement, best type of greens. Still love the layout, course plays well and is an overall good test. Worth the 50 minute drive. I’d golf here every week if it weren’t so far away.
Great layout, super fast greens
The course was in good condition and the greens were lightning fast! So fast they had to water them mid round just to slow them down.
Fairways are tight but they were punching them in preparation for top dressing. If you want to play after 6/3, call the clubhouse and ask how the fairways are!!
Best course in northeast Ohio
always look so forward to playing this course. Love it.
