Little Mountain Country Club
About
Located just 35 minutes from Cleveland, Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is known throughout the area for its bunkers. Deep hardly begins to describe them and they border both the greensides and fairways. Although the cavernous bunkers are challenging, they are strategically placed to provide a challenge for better golfers but there is still ample room for less advanced players. The intimidatingly steep walls go as deep as 20 feet below the putting surface, they are enough to scare even the most seasoned golfers. The layout has diverse mix of holes that require the use of all the clubs in your bag. Little Mountain Country Club finishes with a dramatic par 4 that is one of the golf course's most difficult holes. The five-star-rated Little Mountain is well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh or Columbus.

Great greens
Course seemed to be under reno, lots of bunkers had huge rocks in them which made them dangerous or unplayable.
Greens rolled true and fast, best part of the course.
No cart person on the course
Staff was just present, nothing special going on there.
Overall, as a tourist it's a great track to play, especially for the price! I paid $26 USD thru GN.
What happened to the 5 Star course I remember?
Little Mountain used to be an awesome experience. Not this time. The bunkers were unplayable. There had to be standing water in at least 80% of them. I played with another guy and we must have lost at least 6 balls in them!
The course is a great layout but the greens were just OK. The bunkers were shot! Cart path only made it a longer round. I think we both gave up scoring after the 4th lost ball bunker. Just try to enjoy the round without keeping score if you're going to play here anytime in 2014.
Even the 19th hole is different. Definitely not what it used to be!
Our apologies for the bunker and weather conditions during your round. We are currently renovating the bunkers. Please contact me directly for a makeup promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
needs a lot of work
A great layout but course is lacking in conditioning. Greens were not so good . Traps were an absolute disgrace. If course can not maintain traps they should eliminate 1/2 of the. This has not changed from 2 years ago. Very disappointed
Our apologies for the the experience you had suring your round. We are in the process of updating the traps. Please contact me directly for a makeup promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Perfect
Unique, well done course. Lots of bunkers, paved cart paths.
Thanks for the "Perfect" review! Glad you enjoyed your round at Little Mountain CC
Great layout, horrible maintenance issues
We played this course 2-3 days after a heavy rainstorm. Unfortunately, this left half of the bunkers underwater or muddied and the 18th hole essentially unplayable due to a water (sewer) line break on the fairway that left the hole in embarrassing shape.
The maintenance problems were very disappointing as the course itself has great "bones" - rolling hills, challenging trap placement, deep bunkers and quality greens. I would love to play the course if/when it is in prime shape but don't know if that's an unreal expectation.
Our apologies for some of the course conditions due to the heavy rainstorm. Please contact me directly for a make-up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Greens and Rangers
Most of the greens were back to normal. The 2 that weren't still rolled decently.
They could use some rangers to monitor course. Group in front of us just about drove carts on greens. On the par 3 14th 1 guy drove cart behind green and got hung up on curb when leaving. Swearing at us for not helping him after his group left him. People like this just ruin a nice course.
Glad you noticed that the conditions are back to normal but sorry you got caught behind an unpleasant group during your round. Please contact me directly for a make up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Great But!!!!!
The greens, fairways and rough were in great shape and very enjoyable to play. But with all the bunkers that are part of this courses design get it togethe!. At best 50% are unplayable and 30% look like construction sites. Someone needs to come up with a solution for this problem. Every year that passes it just gets worse.
Glad you enjoyed your round at Little Mountain CC! We are aware of the bunker conditions and are in the process of updating. Please contact me directly for a make-up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
amazing modern course
Little Mountain is easily one of the best courses in the area. It is fun to just marvel at design. However the design is probably the cause of only issue the course has in my opinion, which is the bunkers. There are a seemingly unending amount of bunkers, that seem to swallow up golf balls. Most of the bunkers around the green are at least head high, most seem taller, even some fairway bunkers were very deep. The bunkers were groomed nicely, but very firm under a soft top layer. I saw many other groups having the same issues attempting to get out around the green. It was nice from the fairways, but it was hard to get under the ball.
The greens were the firmest and fastest of any course I've played this year, very fun and very difficult to putt on. Greens were amazing.
Very nice course, one of the best in NE Ohio
It was great my husband got a hole in one!!! Love that course..
Hole in one...thats awesome!! Glad you and your husband enjoyed your round at Little Mountain CC
One staff member ruins the bunch
I arrived early and was promptly informed by the guy at the front desk that the other three guys for my tee time were running late (strangers to me as I booked a single), and that I needed to go speak to the starter. This would be fine, except for the fact that the starter, Tomas, was grumpy, barely acknowledged my existence, and went about his other business. The other staff members (I think they were rangers, wearing different colored shirts) were actually helpful and approachable. After that initial shock of Tomas' indifference, I was paired with two other guys. These guys were enjoyable to play with and knew the course. It's not shocking that their first words to me (literally) were "That guy (Tomas) is not friendly." Apparently Tomas does not discriminate with his colorful personality. Now I'm not calling for Tomas' head here, but if this is how he treats people on a normal basis, I will just be steering clear of this place. If I want a starter with the disposition of a Brillo pad, I will stay home and clean my house. The course itself was pretty nice (nicer than other people had told me). Apparently the bunkers were a mess earlier in the season. While there were a few bunkers with some serious rocks in them, the course conditions were above average. My only gripe was the pace of play. There were a few people ahead of us that really should not be playing this course or should opt for the front (or even women's tees). 3 stong players should not take 5 hours to play the course. The fact that the course has so many staff and rangers, it is alarming to me that there was not more sense of urgency in moving the play along. On many tee boxes, we had a 10 minute wait. I will play elsewhere if this is not addressed. The girls in the clubhouse and cart girl were cute, friendly and helpful.
I have not had to deal with Thomas, but Stoney was the starter the last few times I've been there and was always super friendly and helpful. Great course.
Well worth it!!
Course was in great shape!! Never had to wait and didn't feel pushed by people behind us. Staff was very friendly. Only negative was after round wanted to get lunch, sit in the AC and watch golf but wouldn't serve food inside? Very odd! Over all though was very please!
Glad you enjoyed your round and got great customer service at Little Mountain CC! We have worked hard to bring the greens conditions back so thanks for the review! Hope to see you back at Little Mountain soon
Quick nine
Played at pace that we felt we were not pressured, in fact, we were able to pass other slower golfers
Glad you were able to play at a greeat pace and enjoyed your round at Little Mountain CC!
Nice layout lot of sand
The course features rolling hills with many sand traps. The layout was interesting making a shot selection important. There were many times I need to decide whether to layup or go for it, which makes for a fun round. The course conditions were very nice, but many of the sand trapped have been partially washed away due to the rain. A condition very common this year everywhere I have played even a private club that was immaculate otherwise. Staff was friendly as well as the couple groups of golfers I spoke with. I would highly recommend playing this course. It may not have become my favorite course, bur it is on the short list.
Glad you enjoyed your round and got great customer service at Little Mountain CC! We are about to start updating the conditions of the sand traps. Hope to see you back soon!
Spend your money elsewhere
Over 5 hours and 15 minutes for 18 holes is unacceptable. The fact that some club employees knew of the pace of play problem and one responded to an inquiry about speeding up play with "what do you want me to do about it" pretty much sums up how much attention goes into the on-course experience. The fact that many bunkers had little sand and were littered with rocks (some almost the size of your hand) was an added bonus.
Our apologies for the pace of play you experienced during your round. We are also aware of some of the bunker conditions and have a plan in place to begin to fix within the next couple weeks. Please contact me directly for a make-up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Great features
Great course design, some challenging holes, staff friendliness is excellent. Course play slow for middle of the day.

Sensational Layout, Prerenovation
We paid an incredible 17.50$ each for 18 holes with cart. We played on a day following an exceptionally heavy rainfall and so it was cart path only and therefore a soggy, up and down hike. As it turns out, the course is about to undergo an extensive renovation which was not made clear on the website. About half the massive traps are to be condemned and the course has stopped maintaining them. It seems that the drainage was not adequate and this is evidenced by the vast puddles (lakes?) accumulated in the bunkers. All the bunkers. Some of the greens had been damaged early this spring and are still recovering. I would wait to play the course after the renovation, but would love to see the changes they will make.
Gone down hill
I have not played this course in a few years. Conditions are not what they used to be. Sand traps with no sand and only rocks, eliminated the gps golf carts and greens were very bumpy.
I’m happy to report our greens are fully restored and I encourage you to visit Little Mountain again. Our apologies for the experience you had during your round. Please contact me directly for a make-up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Great Value and Excellent Service
When I visit the Cleveland area, I usually take my guests to one of my associated Private Clubs to play. This year I decided to add Little Mountain to our mix of golf courses. It turned out that Little Mountain was as good, if not better, than any one of my private courses. It was a great challenge and the staff were very courteous.
Glad you decided to add Little Mountain into your mix of golf courses to play. Hope to see you back next time you are in town!
Little Mountain Country Club
I really enjoyed playing this course. It was a very nice layout that was challenging without being impossible. My only complaints are that the bunkers were not in very good shape and that the course seemed to let people start play on hole 10 in the middle of our round. This made for much slower play on the back nine.
Glad you really enjoyed playing Little Mountain CC. Our apologies for the pace of play, please contact me directly for a make up promo code at amberteetime@gmail.com
Glad you enjoy the layout of the course. Yes we are currently renovating the bunkers. Please contact me directly for a makeup promo code to use the next time you are in town amberteetime@gmail.com
