Little Mountain Country Club
About
Located just 35 minutes from Cleveland, Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is known throughout the area for its bunkers. Deep hardly begins to describe them and they border both the greensides and fairways. Although the cavernous bunkers are challenging, they are strategically placed to provide a challenge for better golfers but there is still ample room for less advanced players. The intimidatingly steep walls go as deep as 20 feet below the putting surface, they are enough to scare even the most seasoned golfers. The layout has diverse mix of holes that require the use of all the clubs in your bag. Little Mountain Country Club finishes with a dramatic par 4 that is one of the golf course's most difficult holes. The five-star-rated Little Mountain is well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh or Columbus.

Greens are damaged BADLY from winter
First time playing the course. Loved the layout. Green damage from winter is EXTREMELY bad. Several putting greens are not even on the putting surface but in front of the greens. I truly look forward to playing this course once the damage is repaired. I doubt that will be any time soon.
Bad Greens
Greens moved and under construction. However, this course is beautiful in midseason.
Its great to hear how beautiful you think the course is in midseason. We are aware that we received some winter wind damage from the sub-zero temperatures on some of our greens. We are currently working a plan including aerification and box seeding as well as use of temporary greens. Hope to see you back soon!
5 greens out of commission
Great course great layout . Fairways and t boxes in beautiful condition due to the long winter 5/18 greens our unplayable and temp greens are set up on a few of these.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the course cizmarshay! We are currently working a plan including aerification and box seeding as well as you know the use of temporary greens. We hope to be back at typical conditions by July. We hope to see you back soon!
Go Somewhere Else!
This could be a really nice golf course. Sadly something happened to the greens. Most of the greens have more dirt and sand than grass. There's 4 or 5 temporary greens (which is a flag stuck in the middle of the fairway. So when your GPS says 195 yds, you actually only have 165. The biggest problem is that they didn't bother to tell us. Another problem was the bunkers. There's a lot of them and only about half of them were maintained.
The fairways are great and there's 4 or 5 greens that are really nice. They probably need to shut the course down and let the greens recover.
Our most sincere apologies for the conditions of some of our greens. As mentioned in our online tee time notes, we have received some winter wind damage from the sub-zero temperatures on some of our greens. We are currently working a plan including aerification and box seeding as well as use of temporary greens. This plan is being executed throughout the month of June with hopes of typical conditions by July. Please contact me directly at amberteetime@gmail.com if you would like more information
This course has gone downhill
This use to be one of our top 3 courses in the area. It has got worse over the last 3 years. The greens are basically unplayable, only 10% grass on them. Seems everything went downhill once Jimmy Hanley took over. Stonewater is starting to go downhill also. Maybe he is more concerned with his tv shows instead of the golf courses.
Call ahead on greens conditions !!!!
The course in general was in good condition until you got to the greens. I guess the greens were ice damaged this past winter and most of them are ruined. They did put the pins where there was some grass but other than that these greens are shot. A couple of greens on the back nine were in a little better shape. This usually is a nice course but will wait again until the greens are in better condition to go back. They are putting in some temporary greens but do not know when these will be playable. Will go back to play as soon as this course is ready. I don't want to give up on this course. Fun course to play.
Glad to hear you are not giving up on our course Barrnutt! We are currently working a plan including aerification and box seeding as well as you know the use of temporary greens. Course needs help
Great course. Greens need fixed as soon as possible.

Greens deplorable
Staff stated that 4 greens damaged by weather. Understatement. Front nine might have 1-2 greens worth putting, but front should be closed for season to rebuild these greens. Many bunkers, front and back, show little sign of any maintenance this spring. Too bad. Course layout is outstanding.

Bad greens
Pros:
Beautiful architecture of the holes produce fun and challenging experiences. The greens have the same characteristics that are easy to read but are challenging to beat.
Cons:
The greens were the worst I've ever seen on a golf course. I understand that its early in the season and we had an abnormally long winter but other courses that are much cheaper are in much greater condition. There are also some areas that need some landscaping work.
Overall, I had a great time there. Only a few things prevented it from being a 5-star experience

Little Mountain Greens
Greens are in extremely poor condition - especially on the front nine. No grass - completely burned out and it is only the middle of May. Not sure if there is a disease problem, but the grass is gone and the surface is sprayed green to make it look like grass. Not sure how they are going to recover these greens this year.

Good course, questionable greens
The course is good but slow pace of play. Round took 5 hours and 20 minutes. Many greens seemed like they had a disease of some sort. Hoping they can fix that soon.
Well maintained & beautiful scenery
The weather was cool and we had to stay on the cart paths because of all the recent rain. However, the course was in good condition. We all thought the course was laid out well and was very scenic with the lush fairways and all of the bunkers. The holes were fair and challenging.
Happy Golfer
Overall it was a great day. The course is very beautiful, however the greens did need some work. There were a few excavating issues around bunkers that they are in the process of mediating. If the greens and bunker issues are fixed, this will be one of the nicest courses in NEO.
Nice
Great course awesome layout and scenery. Would go back
Great track, greens were rough from being aerated.
Little Mountain is a great track. There are a gazillion bunkers around the greens and no, not every bunker was raked. (but that's a sign of the times these days) The greens had recently been punched and there was no warning of this on Golf Now! So that was a major disappointment. Staff was great. This is one of the better courses in the area to play but you better wait until the greens have fully recovered to enjoy it.

Great course
Greens aerated days before play , lots of winter green damage!
Great layout. Greens need time.
Let me open with my score. I play off scratch, shot 70. Playing from the whites (no one else would play from the tips) The greens were a disappointment. I know its early in the season but they were not good at all. Looks like half have been diseased. The rest of the course is in great shape (As always). This is one of my favorite courses in the Cleveland area and I will go back. When the greens pick up this place will be excellent as usual. Pace is a little slow but that is nothing new. If you get a good deal get on out there. I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks to play yet. Once again, I love the course and facilities its just early for the greens. They are rough.
Not Good
I was very excited to play here from what my friend had told me, got there early and the staff rushed me and my friend on the corse and before we tee off a league of about 15 carts come driving up to the 1st tee. Before we were even are hitting the second shot, they were already driving into us. And the same thing for about 4 out of the 9 holes. On top of that we were always waiting on the group in front of us. Talk about horrible job of the starter. That's just the first thing, the corse was in very bad shape. By far the worst greens I have seen all year. All in all bad experience and will not return until I hear the corse is in the shape it used to once be. Do your self a favor and drive up the road to St. Dennis

Ready for nice weather
I thought the course was in decent shape. I was surprised to see players in jeans and sweet pants!!! I look forward to playing again.
