Little Mountain Country Club
About
Located just 35 minutes from Cleveland, Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is known throughout the area for its bunkers. Deep hardly begins to describe them and they border both the greensides and fairways. Although the cavernous bunkers are challenging, they are strategically placed to provide a challenge for better golfers but there is still ample room for less advanced players. The intimidatingly steep walls go as deep as 20 feet below the putting surface, they are enough to scare even the most seasoned golfers. The layout has diverse mix of holes that require the use of all the clubs in your bag. Little Mountain Country Club finishes with a dramatic par 4 that is one of the golf course's most difficult holes. The five-star-rated Little Mountain is well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh or Columbus.

Very slow...4 groups on same hole!
Good course...challenging greens....but pace of play was over 5:15. They had an outing on the course and would not make them play on pace...so lots of laughing, by them, unhappiness by everyone else. Four groups on the same hole on three different occasions. I will not return.
Always great
This course is always in great condition. Bunkers are still rough from all the rain but most are marked as under repair. Pace was a little slow as it took over 4.5 hours to play. We can usually play in less than 4. Overall an excellent course for the price.
Tough Greens
The course for the most part was in very good condition; some fairways and a couple of greens needed attention. My wife and I could have probably finished our round in about 3 1/2 hours except they allow singles on the course and we let some play through. We were a twosome and there was a twosome ahead of us and both of us let individuals play through. The greens have many undulations and are lightning fast. While I am not a super golfer, I took 26 putts on the front nine.
Nice Park
Little Mountain is a nice course, with a challenging layout. Lots of bunkers (some need some work). But if you are in Lake County and looking for a GOLF course, this fits. The greens are firm and quick, but are fair and roll nicely. The scenery isn't bad either-- makes for an enjoyable round.
Very nice, but not 5-star as touted
A beautiful layout with loads of potential. Lots of impressive homes along the course but all set back far enough so as not to be intrusive. Be sure to take in the view of Lake Erie on the distant horizon from the 17th tee box. Today this was a challenging course with very firm and fast greens (couldn't make a ball mark on them with even the most highly lofted clubs). Very hard to land and hold a green which certainly frustrated making any birdies if not pars. Pace of play was typical Sunday -- a bit slow and crowded with a high number of Sunday hackers which was augmented by an outing that was scheduled. We were a bit stunned that we got photo-copied score cards on plain paper at a self-proclaimed five star course charging $55 a round -- this was definitely a first. The staff was friendly and organized and kept tee times on pace as well as ushering through those who were making the turn. A couple of greens had bare spots that interefered with putting and many of the numerous bunkers had exposed rocks in them. Overall a great course with a few fixable flaws that just need some attention.
Exciting fun course
First time to play this course, glad to finally find a cheaper price on Golf Now. Design is beautiful layout and get ready for the bunkers. Must lay up and play it safe on many holes. I love a challenge and really enjoyed the game. Beautiful landscaping and course in great shape. A bit too much walking on the holes for me but would do it again.
Beautiful Setting - Challenging Course
Fast greens, deep bunkers and a diverse design combine to make this a great golf experience. Add to that a decidedly "Big Sky" feeling on Little Mountain and if it weren't for the views of Lake Erie you might think you were farther west.
This first time customer wants to go back for more.
5-somes allowed
Played this past sunday
Course was in decent shape - some bunkers still filled with water and rocks
Overall nice experience - except a 5-some was in front of us - which didn't really bother my group, but the group behind us was very impatient. I don't think they realize that we were waiting on the group in front of us. There was a ranger - not sure what he was doing to police pace of play, but he did tell us we parked the cart on a slope in the cart path which was prohibited. - Wasn't a slope - it was a bump.
great value
Got this course on golfnow for 17 bucks compared to 53 at clubhouse. greens were extremely fast. I felt like I never had a truly great birdie chance. a couple greens had burned out areas and need atttention. fairways a little wet, probably due to rain the previous night. overall great round. shot an 88 (43/45). Back is much harder in my opinion.
great course but the bunkers really need to be attended to
bunkers are in really bad shape which is a shame because other than that the course is in great shape but if you land in a bunker you might as well take it out so you don't ruin wedge hitting out of them.
northeast ohios best value
if this course fails to impress i sure would like to know where u are golfing.only flaw was a few sandtraps where washed out but being addressed .gotta give them 1 with the rain weve been having.couple spots you come close with other holes.
This Course Is Outstanding!
Staff was very friendly and clubhouse was clean and inviting. The course was in incredible shape for the amount of rain we have had recently. Some tee boxes (on 3-4 holes) and a few fairway spots (on 3-4 holes) were wet, but compared to any other course this year, tee to green the course was in very nice shape. All of the other holes were almost perfect with the fairways allowing full roll out off the tee. The greens were in outstanding shape with true roll when putting and quite a few allowed spin with approach shots, even with as wet as it has been. 90% of the bunkers were either under water or washed out entirely and could not be played. We paid $29 for a $54 tee time.
Always Perfect
Little Mountain was once again in Country Club condition and played tough.
A moderate to difficult course, a great challange!
This is a heavy played course in the area, due to condition, playability, amenities:(i.e. clubhouse and services) and overall experience. This is my third time at the course and definitely plan on playing more in the future. I would highly recommend this club and course to those in the area, and to those who plan on visiting, looking for a quality course and facilities!
Excellent golf - interesting holes
The Little mountain course privided an excellent challenge of golf with very interesting holes. the course is in very good shape and well maintained. we were able to get through our round in 4 hours and will definitley be coming back for more golf at little mountain.
Alot of fun
The fairways and greens were in great shape but a lot of bunkers need work because all of the rain. We had a great day playing the course and we all look forward to playing this course again.
It was still a fun course to play
Major storm passed through the area the previous day and wrecked most of the bunkers which are a major feature of this course. Some areas were completed flooded out by the storm but the grounds crew did a pretty good job in making it playable. Perfect weather and still had a lot of fun on the course.
Needs work
Love the layout. Great mix of long and short par 4s, good variety of par 3s, and reachable par 5s make for a fun and challenging round. Greens were fast and smooth. Tees and fairways were ok, but there were lots of bare spots in the rough. The bunkers beyond terrible. They look like they haven't been maintained in years. NOT ONE bunker was playable. The ones that weren't completely under water were just mud pits with huge rocks. There was no way to play an honest round of golf without covering yourself in mud or destroying your golf club. For a course whose bunkers are so integral and abundant, there's really no way to overlook their condition. Paid $50 for a 10am tee time on Sunday. Normal rate is $64. For them to be charging full price with no prior disclosure as to the conditions borders on criminal. They would probably say that the present condition is a result of all the rain we've had. Well, I played at Boulder Creek last week, a course at the same price point whose also dealt with bunker issues in the past, and all the bunkers were PERFECT. It just goes to show that if the commitment is their, results are achievable. It really is a shame because, like I said, I really like the course. Windmill lakes, Shale Creek, The Quarry, and Boulder Creek are all similarly priced courses that I would chose over Little Mountain at this point.
Huge bunkers!
I love this course! Very challenging! The greens were tough. Some of the bunkers needed work (there are a ton of them so I can understand it must be a lot of work to keep them all in good condition)
The play was slow. It took us 5 hrs.
Good course for the $$.
Tee to green a very well maintained course. However, bunker's are subpar based upon quality or rest of the course. Specifically the bunker's are not well maintained and virtually impossible to keep maintained due to the steepness and depth of the bunkers. If rain occurs, the water will wash sand down steep slope of bunker. Pebbles/stones are excessive in bunkers. Although the bunkers are aesthetically beautiful, they need to shrink the size of the bunkers in order to improve the quality. Staff was friendly.
