REPAIR YOUR BALLMARK!!!
Great course, awesome condition. The bunkers and greens are in great shape. We always love playing this course early in the season before the greens take a beating. I wish the staff could take a stand against those who don't replace their ball marks.
Grounds crew, keep up the good work!
Great course
Course in nice condition, Greens were quite fast and pretty true
Course was in good shape
Our foursome all thought the course was in good shape with all the rain that occurred recently.
Course in great shape!
i've been playing Walden a lot the last few years and the fairways are in the best condition I've seen in that time. The greens are good too, but were recently aerated, though they have mostly healed. An excellent value!
Always in good shape.
I love this course, you always know what you're getting when you play here. Solid layout, great conditions, friendly staff.
Great course, great staff.
The staff from check-in to check-out was friendly and attentive. The course was in good shape even with aerated greens they still rolled very fast and surprisingly smooth. The fairways were big and open and the pin positions were challenging. The greens were usually guarded with water or sand to make you have to take your time on the approach. You will enjoy this course.
Walden has water
There was no starter. Because it was a warm sunny day, they were over booked. As a result, the tee times for starting was disorganized.
There is a lot of water on the course. As you might also imagine, it's not a dry place to play after rain.
The greens were playable.
Fortunately, the bar and food was available, but they need summer shandy again.
It's ready to go!
They aerated very recently and the greens are almost healed up but still flat and smooth, the fairways are in nice shape and groomed and the bunkers are freshly shaped and full of fluffy sand. Go play it!
course was in really good shape
for February was a great day to play and course was in good shape
Have to catch it on a good day
Walden Ponds has a great layout and since putting new sand in their bunkers its improved alot. I played on a wet day and recommend not playing this course when it's wet. The last thing that was bothersome was the unbelievable amount of goose droppings on some of the golf holes to the point of me wanting to skip the hole entirely. But catch Walden Ponds on a good day and this course has definitely improved in the last couple years.
wide open rolling course
The course was in decent condition for this late in the year, but there was a lot of goose turds and geese on the course. Carts were restricted to the paths for the winter even though there wasn't an apparent reason.
Great for October..
I like Walden Ponds. The course was in nice condition, lots of green and just challenging enough. No complaints.
I love golfnow, it's the only way I an afford to play the game I love.
Great time.
Course is nice and a good challenge, The staff is helpful and accomondating.
Great course great shape
Nice layout and beautifully kept greens, fairways, rough and bunkers. Very impressed.
fun course
course was in really good shape. enjoy playing here as an average golfer can have a number of birdie opportunities. some short par 4's but some long ones as well and some par 5's that are reachable if you hit a good t shot. usually gets backed up on #10.
Forgiving but Still Challenging
Walden Ponds is a fun course that is forgiving off the tee, yet (somewhat) challenging on approach and around the green. For the price range of $25-45, it's a great course, but I have other prefered options in the area if I had to pay more than $45.
Special place for me
This course holds a special place because I broke 80 for the first time here (last year) and my wife was with me to witness (she does not allow gimmes or mulligans so it was 100% legit) Value here is great (my opinion), but I was saddened to see how much they had been forced to drain their ponds for watering. Still, greens were pretty good and fairways too. I'll be back soon.
Greens were running fast
Playing Walden Pond is always a treat and on this day there was no one holding us up and the greens were running fast and true. This course is always a challenge but the pin placement and the green speed made this a real test of golf. The fairways were and greens were in great condition and even the rough was in decent shape. All the holes are are different so each one is a new adventure. The only down side is that there are houses lining most holes but they are far enough from the golf course so that they do not come into play but they are always in your view. If you get a chance to play Walden Ponds, take it, it will be worth your time
