The Challenge Golf Club

Myself and some friends of mine loved this place, the value, and the conditions. It can indeed be a “challenge”. A ball cleaner every once in awhile and making sure there’s water in the water jugs would be our only critique but really a great course I’d recommend to anyone!

Fairways and Greens were in excellent shape. Layout was challenging and fair. Lack of a driving range and short game area are a downside.

We had a 7:39 am tee time. Two foursomes, a twosome and a threesome in front of us. Ten minutes late getting off the first tee and it just snowballed from there. Had to wait 10 minutes on every shot. Marshall’s didn’t do much to move the pace along. Really no excuse for five hour round when you can get carts off the path.

Would definitely go back to this course again, even though I didn't play well yesterday. Some really interesting holes and a challenging but fair course for all skill levels. Course was in fantastic shape, greens were firm and fast, fairways were well maintained. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.

90+ degree day. No water on the last 17 holes. Brutal stuff

After years of hearing friends recommend the course, finally made my way out there on the Fourth of July. Everything was in great condition. Superb putting practice green. They don’t have a full range, but they do have a practice net placed near the clubhouse that is free to use, and more than adequate to warm up before teeing off. It’s a good varied layout, fairways were fantastic, tee boxes way better than most, even the cart paths in good condition. I’ll be back, and a little disappointed I didn’t get out here earlier.

Greens were not in good shape at all. Disappointing compared to previous experiences there.

Edges of fairways are red clay , rocks and tree roots. Bunkers are red clay dirt and water, greens are very fast and dry.

Just a pretty golf course. Fairways in great condition and the greens were fast and you could shoot for the pins as they held the ball well.

First time playing The Challenge golf course. Fairways were in great condition and the greens were fast yet you were able to shoot for the flags as they held the ball very well. Every hole has its own signature….not your up and down golf course for sure. Can’t wait until my next trip here.

Course was in fantastic shape, greens were rolling great, played on a Sunday, course did not seem to be very busy despite the great weather. However pace of play was atrocious, round was 5.5ish hours, need a ranger of some sort as a twosome was holding up multiple groups in front of us. Otherwise would recommend

Stuff happens I get it, but I drove 45 minutes to play here after seeing the round on golf now only to show up and the course was closed. I understand bad weather; which they had the night before, but tee times need to be taken off of GolfNow when the course is closed.

Front 9 was not too bad (bad still slow), no one is managing the back 9 and I spent 3 hours for back 9 with my son.

I play random courses while I am traveling for work. This one did not disappoint. Greens seemed consistent from hole to hole. They had a tournament earlier the day I played so pin locations was a challenge at times.
