The Landing at Pleasant Point
About
Playing just 6,642 yards from the tips, The Landing at Pleasant Point is a pleasing play for all level of golfer, making it one of the most popular golf courses in the Hilton Head region.
A Russell Breeden design, The Landing at Pleasant Point features rolling fairways and spectacular views. One of its main draws, however, is its price tag: It's one of the most affordable golf courses in the area.
Normally in good condition, it's a golf course that will reward accuracy and punish shots of folly; it's not too hard though, with a moderate 130 slope rating from the tips.
Nature lovers will enjoy the wildlife on the golf course. You'll see plenty of critters wandering about, and perhaps even deer or alligators.

Solid for the money
Not the best buts it’s decent . Greens are little slow . Enjoyed it and played it back to back days lol . Not many public courses in Beaufort and the lady island country club is a goat track
fun course
the course has a good layout and the greens for the most part are in nice shape. fairways and tee boxes need to fill in but it has been dry locally and a cold winter.
Pretty Decent Course
I will begin by saying that this course has an interesting layout, more of a shorter, strategic-style course. Great for plenty of short game lies. Others have noted the conditions to be less than ideal; I do see many areas of improvement to be made, but I have to disagree overall. The greens are some of the best public course greens around at this time, a little slow but putt true and hold well. Not much poa like a lot of others in the area. Yes there are areas where weeds are present but it didn’t affect my shots that much. I found the course to be pretty well kept with the exception of a few bunkers. The clubhouse/ pro shop is pretty minimal but covers the basics. No restaurant option. All in all, for the price $50/18 all inclusive, this is a bargain considering it is pretty much on par with most of the courses in the area that are charging $60-$70+. Looking forward to the summer when everything starts really filling in, this will be one of the better options in the Lowcountry area.
Southern charm
This was the second golf course I’ve played, not located in the mountains of North Carolina and Georgia. It was a pleasure to play.. I had read the previous reviews and was concerned about the conditions of the course and it does need improvements in many areas. that being said, I found the course to be a pleasure play.. I loved it and I’ll be back many times. I can’t wait to see the improvements!!
Terrible course
Course was all dirt and weeds. Greens were ok, but fairways and tee boxes were un playable. I need some “fluff” under my ball and this course was all hard pan and weeds. Honestly, I don’t think there is a blade of grass in the fairways. Try and find a patch of weeds to hit off, but that is tough too. Wont be back! Greens had weed patches to hit through.
Course is under new management, it's gonna take lil time, but great layout...conditions will improve over the next few years I'm sure, but what a fun track! Greens are slow, but like i said before, give it time, LOTS of potential!
Keeps Getting Better
I played this course 3 weeks ago and it's already getting better. Excited to see what the future holds for this course.
Beautiful course
Golf Now stated the course was 19 miles from Hilton Head it was 50 miles. Luckily we discovered it the night before so we planned for the extra time. It was well worth the drive. The golf day was great. The course was in great condition and the staff and facilities were excellent.
Needs some TLC
Played the course after a fun day of rain, so that impacted some of the holes.
This is a nice course and should be a very busy course based on its location. The Tees and greens need some attention.
Beautiful course. Nice layout. Very good greens
Golf now said it was 18 miles from Hilton Head.
When we dialed it in it was 50 miles !! But it was worth the drive ! Beautiful green fairways and greens, nice pace and friendly staff. We were glad know how far it was we probably would have passed on it.
Nice course in good condition
We had a great time. Tee boxes a little rough but other than that it was good even the greens were nice. Beautiful layout with lots of trees and water.
Great value
I’ve been coming to Beaufort to visit my in-laws for almost 10 years, and I was always disappointed with the public options in this area. Just played the Landing at Pleasant Point for the first time and I can see the vision!
Fairways are fair and in good shape, greens roll true with a few of them needing some more love in certain areas. Same with the tee boxes, but it’s nothing you can’t work around. Give it some more time and this place will be THE public course in Beaufort. Can’t wait to come back
