Fun course
I really like playing here. Biggest downside is the lack of food options in the clubhouse.
They’re stretching a but calling it a links course, IMO. Some holes definitely play links style but others do not.
Overall I really enjoy playing here and I would recommend it. There are some amazing views too.
As a side note, some of the holes are quite far apart, which is something to consider if you plan to walk.
Good bang for buck
Player here with my father for his birthday. They had a 30 minute gap between our tee time and the group before us. So we asked if we could get our early and they said they don’t allow that, and would still pair us up with two more people. Wasn’t too sure why that was a rule but the course itself was in nice shape just had that one hiccup per say
Great value and fun course
Course layout was fun and staff was very friendly. The hot dog bar was great and the bar restaurant had a great feel.
Starter doesn't need to take his job so seriously
Our tee time was 12:20 pm we arrive to the first tee box no starter to be found. !! As we get out to warm up here comes the starter that was over at the driving range having a great time chatting with his friends or members. As he jumps out and starts to yell at us saying " Y'all suppose to check with the starter before teeing off". Well if Mr. Starter was at the 1st tee box instead of having a jolly o time chatting with his buds we would check in with the Mr. Starter. he doesn't have to be rude to people who gave the course 160.00 dollars for a foursome to play golf. Don't take your job so serious Mr. Starter it's not Augusta National.
Hole in One
My wife and I always enjoy playing Links O' Tryon .... beautiful course setting the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains ⛰.
Today's game was extremely special as my wife experienced the golf ⛳ thrill of a lifetime with a Hole in One on the 15th with a 7 iron from 89 yards. Upon coming back to the club house we told the pro shop her achievement and took her information to post it in the community newspaper He also gavea discounting special memories.
Definitely will return
Hole in one
The day was ideal sunny light breeze and mid 60's in February. The highlight of the day was my wife accomplished the golfers ultimate dream. She had a Hole 🕳 in One on the 15th hole hitting her 7 iron 89 years at the Links O' Tryon
Can't wait to go back the course is one of favorites in the Carolinas.
Does Golf Now have an. Award for a Hole 🕳 in One?
A good course for the price
This is a nice course for a public course. It’s fairly open with a few challenging holes. The greens are kept up well for this time of year.
Had to cancel
Due course conditions we had to cancel our game. It was cart path only and due to my wife's injury to her archilles she would not have been able to walk on the course. We cancelledearly in the morning directly to the hgolf coursa. Please credit my account $24.49 Confirmation # 369911607
I have tried to go through the help desk to no avail. Not sure if I will renew in May 2023, if this is not roperly rectified.

First time..
Very nice staff and as a single player a member couple allowed me to play with them. They were very welcoming to a new comer to the course. Not sure if it was just the day because it was nice weather but the pace of play was extremely slow.
Great course to enjoy a fun round of golf
It was the busiest that day than I ever experienced. The parking lot was completely full at 1 PM and I had to join others making a spot not designated. I really like this course, but they need a ranger to make sure slow players allow faster players to play though. We had to wait on all the holes and on one par 5 #3 there were 4 groups and soon a 5th group. The group in front of us would hit multiple shots maybe due to the wait of the group in front of them. We did finish before the sun went down at 5:30 PM which was nice. I got to meet a couple that I joined up with who had never played the course before, and I said this was not a typical day. They will be back, and so will I.
Overall great value
Fivesome ahead of us SLOWWWed the play - course in good condition for fall - play here several times a week - love it
