Links O'Tryon

So many people had hyped this course up so much to me, I was a bit disappointed once I finally made there to play. I’ve played worse courses for more money so I was happy overall with the Hot Deal price. Don’t misunderstand, it is a good course, just other people had me believing it was much better than what I experienced.

This was my first time playing. A bunch of rain this weekend, good drainage. Fairways were nice. Most greens were good. We’ll manicured. Overall, awesome experience. It’s made my top 3 list in the upstate.

Couldn’t have been easier to set a tee time and go and play! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The course was not overwhelming but not too easy. Welcoming to beginners and for experienced players. We

Course was in good shape, early season greens but were ok and fairly quick. Will play this again for sure.

This course has forgiveness on many holes. It has some challenging holes in my opinion the #1 hdcp hole should be #10. Other holes like #2 has a tough green that slopes away and a sand trap in front that makes it hard to keep a ball on the green from rolling down the left side. #5 has a downhill 2nd shot to a green that sloops down to the left and a hill on the right side and back side that puts you in the trees. #7 is a 3 parr that if you are long you are in the woods, stay away from the sand trap on the right side especially if you are hitting a little over it because the down slope will put you in the woods long. There are other holes that have some challenge.

#2 hdcp hole is #17 in my opinion. Have to go.

Great layout the greens are rolling excellent great

Great course, always a great pace of play. Hole 5 has a rough green but everything is great. Nice layout with a beautiful view of the mountains. Some cool hats in the pro shop too.

Course was in fair shape but greet value for Money

I really like playing here. Biggest downside is the lack of food options in the clubhouse.

They’re stretching a but calling it a links course, IMO. Some holes definitely play links style but others do not.

Overall I really enjoy playing here and I would recommend it. There are some amazing views too.

As a side note, some of the holes are quite far apart, which is something to consider if you plan to walk.

Player here with my father for his birthday. They had a 30 minute gap between our tee time and the group before us. So we asked if we could get our early and they said they don’t allow that, and would still pair us up with two more people. Wasn’t too sure why that was a rule but the course itself was in nice shape just had that one hiccup per say

Course layout was fun and staff was very friendly. The hot dog bar was great and the bar restaurant had a great feel.
