Great Value!! Not a humdrum subdivision course....

Nice layout, friendly staff and well maintained. Really enjoyed playing this course.

Greens are a little shaggy. Fairways were in good shape.

Have played LoT about 8 times. Conditions are decent, though today the greens were still healing from being punched- slow and a tad bumpy. Always prefer the back 9 to the front. For a Hot Deal $28 round, tough to beat.

Very entertaining, fun layout. Each hole has a very appropriate name which adds humor and are quite descriptive (Little bit of H..l, Into the teeth, Beauty, etc). Relatively wide fairways, lots of elevation changes, doglegs (some 90 degrees or more ) requires some thinking. I would describe the red tees as very "chick friendly", basically taking most of the water out of play on driving holes. The greens had been aerated within the last week and were very slow and bumpy, a huge change from green speeds previous days in Florida and Georgia, but the pace of play was terrific (3:10 as a twosome) and the price was great ($28 for Senior Special). I'm 72 was driving the ball well (7 drives between 228-241) and playing the white tees at 5800 yds which left me with a lot of very short approach shots (shot 36-42=78 with "issues" on #10, 11 and 17). Very enjoyable, varied layout although most of the trouble is right in front of you on front 9, back 9 gets trickier.. #10 has lots of water and requires both a good tee shot and good approach. #11 plays much better from the outside of the dogleg so don't try to cut the corner. I'll bet a lot of matches are decided on hole #17 (Links revenge...aptly named). It's medium length (360 yds), but definitely a target hole and I found out trying to blow it over the lake results in going into another lake you can't see from the tee. Elevated green and wind in the face needed 2 extra clubs. Par 5 #18 finishes all uphill and into the wind. All in all this was a very enjoyable course. Pro staff was very courteous and pace of play was great.

Absolutely love playing here. Guys at the course are always top notch, carts are clean and charged. That is hard to find in this area! Course always in great shape. At times pace of play can be a bit slow but I've never had an issue getting through. Favorite course in the upstate

It was mid day in SC and so the expectation was that it would be hot. But a small storm had come through the area earlier and the weather was perfect. This was my first time and I really loved the layout and the course was in good shape. They were aerating the greens and I knew this so it was fine- just got me a better deal. Staff helped guide me to know a few important obstacles. It was a really fun course an just challenging enough to not make you lose your cool. I hope to make Links O'Tryon a regular place to play. It was worth the hour and a half drive. (And I played my best game ever).

I highly recommend Links of Tryon. We enjoyed our round very much. Very friendly staff got us off to a great start. A few holes had some very wet spots and one of our players lost a ball in the fairway muck.. The greens were all in great shape and were very puttable. The views of the nearby mountains add to the beauty of the course. Will play again soon.

I played this course last August and enjoyed it very much. My opinion remains the same - fun and fair course from the forward tees. At a total of 5079 yards from the red tees, it's FAIR because there isn't any hole where I (or my playing partners) felt we didn't have a chance to make par. And it's FUN because there are a variety of holes.

Also, we have had record rain in SC this May and of the four courses I have played in the last two weeks, Links O' Tryon was in great shape. It was the first course where there was no issue with standing water (and this on a day where we had a few rain showers while playing). So either they were lucky and didn't get a lot of the torrential rain or they have great drainage on the course. Either was it was a pleasant surprise.

It is also a very pretty course and worth the drive from Greenville.

This course is located in an absolutely beautiful setting. The condition of the course was not bad but did leave a little bit to be desired. Overall, I would have to say that Links O’ Tryon is a good value for the money. I will definitely consider playing there again also.
