Links O'Tryon

First time playing this course. Holiday weekend so naturally somewhat crowded, but we moved at a fair pace. Early spring, grass is still sparse in fairway. Should be end of April, really green. Greens are excellent, lots of slope and roll of greens, but putt true. Really looking forward to a return trip soon. Fantastic layout. Now have a sence for couse layout. Some hidden shots, need to ride out fairway and look at your target area. Take time to walk to green and look at a target for pitch shots. Wish there was Red, White and Blue flags for green depth. All Black and White flags. Still a pleasant day of play.

It's my first time to play here. Great course and very friendly staff as well. The course is under very well management and maintenance. For sure I'll come more often while I staying here.

It is always fun to play here. The conditions, even in mid-winter-were good enough to have confidence in fairly consistent put speed and the fairways were fine though the grass was dormant. The fairways are very generous, and the course is not very long, but the greens are well protected and will require a good short game. Great value for the money and the course employees are always friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed the course thoroughly. Greens were fast and well taken care of. Impressed with the overall condition of the course especially considering the cold and rainy weather in the past two weeks during which other courses have really slacked off in green management.

Every hole was different and the greens were consistently firm even with all the rain the night before.

We played Links O Tryon after several days of rain and the course was in surprisingly good shape. The grounds crew have done a great job of keeping the fairways clear. The greens were also in great shape. The bar in the clubhouse is always a welcome stop after a round. The bartender was very nice and a welcome addition.

Greens have gotten a lot better since early summer! Really happy with what Links Staff has done improving course! Course was really busy but I suppose that is a good sign!

The blue tees are challenging (there is a big difference between blues and whites) and the staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

Nice course. Maint crews were all over keeping the course up. Very dry and slow greens. I would play again.

Fun layout. Greens need some better treatment. Would go back again due to low greens fees and fast play

The greens are in poor condition - very scarred - and difficult to putt.

The staff was very nice. The golf coarse was as expected except it appears the have had major issues with the greens. The Links of Tryon is a favorite, we look forward to the greens improving.

I enjoyed the course but am handicapped and half of the holes are cart path only which is unusual for that many to be designated that way on a course that offers carts.

Course is a bit dry and the greens have suffered from winterkill.
Nice layout and has some challenging holes. Hopefully some good rains and watering will help the dry fairways. The greens may take several months to comeback.

Basically every green is not putt-able. Looks like they are about to loose them..

course is in good condition except for some of the greens were in poor shape. Played course about a month or so ago and greens were great. Hope they get them fixed it is a great course.

Great layout; love this course! Not extremely long, but offers a good challenge, because you have to be able to hit every club in your bag and you have to really pay attention on the greens. Links golf at its finest

Course still needs one more year after the re sod.

Greens and tees a little rough, play slow at 4 1/2 hours,good value, will play again.

This is one of the best courses in the area. Well designed, friendly staff, greens and fairways in great shape!
