About
Timberlake Country Club in Chapin sits on the shores of Lake Murray, just outside of Columbia in the Midlands of South Carolina. The classic design is reminiscent of traditional Scottish links courses, featuring a combination of water and pot bunkers as well as large grassy swales. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills, which provide plenty of contours and elevation changes. From the elevated tees, golfers will have a dramatic view of the rugged landscape. The golf course is mostly open though there are a few stands of mature trees that can be troublesome if you're not careful. The cavernous bunkers and carefully molded mounding present formidable challenges that will test even the best golfers. In addition to the golf course, Timberlake also offers a full driving range and practice green as well as tennis courts and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Same old story
Well, here's another course in Columbia SC that is in terrible condition. It's amazing that the beautiful neighborhood around the golf course can grow grass, but not the actual golf course!
Fantastic course
Course was beautiful and so much fun to play. Great layout, course was in excellent shape for late January. One of the most fun rounds of golf I have played.
Sandygreens
Almost all the greens were not very good, sand and green paint.
We were required to return carts by 5 pm so we only got 8 holes in today. If we were able to play till sunset we could play a few more holes. Wish we n
Super slow round
Course looks so great and I love it here. However, the pace of play is horrendous and could be improved with a ranger going around speeding players up. Thanks for the great conditioned course though!
Really Nice Track
Love the layout. Greens were superb. Fairways a bit soggy from really heavy rains the night before.
Pace of play could have been better, but members would not let faster groups through. Course needs more yardage markers, and hole diagrams would be nice. A few holes fooled me off the tee.
Overall, it's a nice course and well worth what I pad.
