Great
Course was beautiful. What you would expect on a top of the line course.
Scenic woodsy venue
Nice layout. Woodsy with rolling terrain. Helps to see course at least once before playing it due to some blind shots.
Would play there again.
Great public course!
This course is my favorite in the area. The fairways, greens, and bunkers are always well maintained. Has a combination of holes that are wide open and holes that require you to be accurate with your drives. The back nine is very challenging. For the money I think this is one of the best around.
challenging lay-out, plush fairways beautiful greens
It's a must play golf course, well manicure fairways, some of the most beautiful greens I've seen in the Charleston and columbia areas, you gotta get off the tee on this one or it will come back and eat you, on hole#9 stay to left about 200 yds shot will be safe...STAY LEFT,
Goooooo playyyyy. ....
Omahatommy
Course was in really good shape. Tee time 0f 1:48 and course was backed up. Very slow play no rangers and stacking up the first tee. Let a threesome play thru but had others right on us next hole. Be first out or play after 3pm and you will be fine. Slow play for me is my biggest complaint.
Great for the value
First time playing course. It was great all around. I was very impressed. Friendly staff. The course was in great condition all around and we enjoyed our round.
Surprisingly Good Course
Course in much better shape than I've seen at some privately-owned courses around here, that's for sure. Greens are super-soft so you can really fire in there and hold greens. I'll be back.
great course
This course suprised me. Level tees, plush fairways and well kept greens. There are elevation changes, water, doglegs and three shot par 5's. Front nine is good, the back 9 turns it up a notch. Truly interesting layout and well kept.
LinRick Review
Play took forever. Didn't even finish the round due to such slow play. No marshal to speed things up either.
Good challenging course
Very good course at good price. Greens are in good shape, friendly staff.
Great Experience
I've noticed quite a few courses around Columbia have terrible greens at this time of year, but I have no complaints about the fairways or greens at LinRick. The course is well maintained and greens play true. I will definitely frequent this course in the future.
Great value.
Great price for a well maintained course. Not glitzy, but challenging enough for this weekend hacker.
Great for early in season
Fantastic course layout. Forces you to think and play rather than just hit the ball and go from there. For as early in the season as it was, I was extremely pleased with the course conditions. Full, thick fairways where the only bad lie was from an errant shot into the trees. Greens were a bit thin in places but to be totally expected for this time of year. You could tell the staff cared about the course and someone is paying attention. My only complaint is pace of play, but that is really on the golfers. There was only two in my group and had to follow a foursome through most of the day. They should have allowed us to play through. The group of ladies behind us was rude, hitting into us a couple of times so I guess the staff could have policed the pace a little better. However, I place most of the blame for that on the players. We should police ourselves regarding pace of play and etiquette.
The course was breathtakingly beautiful. Great character, challenges and beauty. Rolling hills and pretty cool pin/tee placement. Will absolutely return when back in this area.
Greens have issues right now
The greens are in poor shape. I haven't seen them like that before. LinRick is still worth playing though. I'll be back.
Great County Course
Beautiful day. Enough breeze to keep the sweat away. Fairways and greens were very good for this time of season. Greens held and rolled nice. Save some strokes and play target golf off the tee. Fairways slope hard at times. It was quite enjoyable and relaxing.
Excellent course for the $
Fairways were in good shape, greens were well watered and maintained. Will definitely be back.
This course has some challenging holes, greens always in good shape.
I've played this course several times and it's always a challenge. You will use most of your clubs in the bag. Hole #3, #14 and #16 are most challenging. Narrow fairways at a couple of holes and over water on several holes and many holes with doglegs. Ball placement is a must. This is not a short course to play. Always enjoyable and exciting due to the requirement for managing your play and choice of clubs to play and course management.
