About
Northwoods Golf Club is one of the Columbia area's premier public courses. P.B. Dye, son of renowned course architect Pete Dye, designed the layout, incorporating some of his father's signature features. The golf course is player friendly enough to appeal to any skill level but there are some challenges in store as well. Mature trees line most of the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers that come into play. You won't come across much water on this golf course and it's not terribly long either. It's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. The golf course's signature hole is the par-4 14th, which features the famous Dye railroad ties bordering a lake that hugs the bunkered green. Northwoods G.C. also offers a practice facility with a lighted driving range and putting green.

Worst possible
They have let this Please go to total garbage it is absolutely not worth five dollars.

Nice little get away
First time playing here and I loved this course. Beautiful lay out with some tricky spots to challenge shot making skills. The staff was awesome and pace was excellent. A little wet in some areas especially a couple tee boxes. This course is on my play again and was not disappointed in the hour plus drive.
The place is falling apart!
I used to be a member at Northwoods, can't believe how neglected and dilapidated the course has become. Needs a major cash infusion to get back to respectable condition. What a shame!

Excelente customer service
Personnel are very friendly , easy to schedule a tee time and price reasonable.
Staff was extremely rude
I had booked online for two people, 50$ each I get to the course and asked if we could have two carts due to my wife wanting to ride along last minute and not play, they said yes that would be fine, so while I was hitting practice balls my wife drove to the course. After playing the front 9 the clerk came to the 10th hole and yelled at us saying we needed to pay 50$ more to have a second cart, even though they just told me that it was okay as long as she wasn’t golfing, (which she wasn’t she likes to walk and collect lost balls while I play). Dude that works the counter that came out to yell says next time we will be removed from the course, I play here quite often and she rides along almost every time and I’ve never had this issue.

I have always enjoyed playing at The Spur. The course is challenging but not difficult. The pace of play was a bit slow but it was still enjoyable.
Overall we had a nice time at the Spur!
It was a little slow due to the group two in front of us. The group immediately in front of us quit around the 15th hole. Granted it was extremely hot. The only real wet spots were close to the sprinklers. Easy enough to take relief. The Greens were firm, fast and true. Will definitely be back!

First time here, won’t be the last
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this course really was. They had just fluff some of the bunkers but some of them were still hard. I would rate this course the 2nd best course in the area behind Cobblestone. Overall I give this course 9/10. Oh, and I didn’t see a cart girl either.
