The course is in great shape, especially the greens. Most of the retirees that work there have a bad attitude and can't give you the time of day. The only golfers they seem to be nice to are the regulars. This has been a problem for years.
I have to agree about the staff, especially the starter. We were treated very rudely on a weekday early morning round. We were on our way back from The Masters and wanted to play somewhere. We were referred to Fort Mill GC due to its proximity to family in Rock Hill, SC and it being a Donald Ross design. Unfortunately the way we were treated that morning trying to get started left a bad taste in our mouth the majority of the round. Would love to come back and play this course again, but the staff has me questioning that decision.

Thanksgiving golf
The course was it good shape considering the time of year. The greens were fairly soft but still very fast. I know I lost some balls in play because the leaves weren't blow from all the fairways.

Keep it below the hole and read the grain
Nice course and challenging! Have played the course several times over the years and the course is always in great shape! Keep the ball below the hole to score well and always check the cup for the direction of the grain if you want to putt well on the championship Bermuda. Nice what you see is what you get layout, user friendly for a first time round. Bunkers are in the right spots, so plan on Mr. Sandman to bail you out if all possible!
Would play the course more often, but without a deal, the course is too pricy for me , if you got deep pockets don't let ithat turn you away...
