conditions

I did not know that the course had been closed for 2 years. It is in extremely poor condition. I could see where they were starting to repair but I would not play again as it was expensive even for a great course. Needs at least 2 to 3 years to start to come around.

Early in the season

Greens, sand traps and tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were a little skinny in places. It's early and just getting into growing season. Course superintendent stated they were getting ready to work on the fairways. I plan on playing this course again. Would totally recommend this course!

Big improvements

Played last year and heard it was going through an ownership change and they had big improvements ahead. I just played again and they were telling the truth. They improved the practice area, pro shop, pub, and upgrades to tee boxes and maintenance. Definitely put it on your list of courses to play.

Hidden Gem

I played here last year and was told they were going through an ownership change and there were big changes coming. Well they were not lying. The practice area has been totally redone. The pub has been remodeled and expanded. Good and drink are value priced. You can see improvements all through the course. It’s a beautiful lowland South Carolina design by Bob Toski/Porter Gibson that is lined with beautiful oak trees that have hanging Spanish moss. It’s also almost half the price of the Pawleys Island course’s 8 miles up the road!! A sleeper that should be on everyone’s Myrtle Beach trip. I’m going again in April and staying at one of their Airbnb cabins directly near the pub and pro shop!!
