The Heritage Club was built on a plot of fertile land along the beautiful Waccamaw River Trail. Over 600 acres of giant magnolias, 300-year-old oaks, fresh water lakes and marshes have been transformed into a golfing community that rivals the finest in the world. The Heritage Club reflects a unique landscape carved by the whims of the river. A magnificent avenue of oaks leads to the welcoming clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River.

Ranked among the “50 Best Public Courses in America” by Golf Digest, the Par 71 Heritage Club, a Dan Maples design, follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned rice fields. The Heritage Club course features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. Heavily landscaped areas of wildflowers and flowering shrubs will maintain the beauty of this beautiful setting for generations to come.

Very Disappointing

For 120 bucks a round you would not expect 5.5 hr round of golf. 8 minute tee times like herding cattle. Greens we all over the place on speed some fast some slow some needing a lot of attention. Leaves, pin straw and whirly birds all over several greens. At this price that should never be the case. Played on muni courses 10 times better. Very disappointed to say the least.

Excellent course

5 stars all the way around! Restaurant and clubhouse was great, layout great and conditions. Very nice views as well. A must play in Myrtle beach. I feel fair to good value for what you get as well.

Not worth the money.

Had a tee time for myself and my father in law at 12:54 and didnt tee off till 1:15. Pace of play was almost 25-30 minutes a hole, our total round took 5 hours and 45 minutes to complete. Greens were in poor conditions along with many tee boxes were below average. We each paid $160 for 18 holes and the best thing being the free egg salad sandwich we got at the turn. Not worth the money, would recommended many other courses before this one.

Worth the money!

First time playing this course. Exactly what I expect from a $100 round. $100 is way over my average I’m willing to pay to play golf. However, Heritage checked all the boxes for me.

Arrival was a nice drive in through gated community to Plantation style club house. Bag drop and shuttles to and from parking lot were great. Staff was overly friendly which I’ve found not to be the case in MB most times.

I was allowed to go off solo early and got through the front 9 in exactly 2 hours. Front nine I learned quick that tee shot placement was key. Hit a lot of 4 irons off the tee to hit my spots. Back nine made the turn to more inlet marsh conditions. Watch out for the gators! Back nine fairways opened up for 3wd off the tee for me. Just trying to stay in play. Driver is playable throughout. 18 par 5 finish was perfect! 4:35 total round time which was fabulous with the crowd.

Greens are tiered and pins were tucked! I’m a 16.2 and shot 87. Could have been 83 without a couple bad chips or 95 if I’d hit driver all day.

Long story short, it was perfect!

Oh yea the breakfast sandwich was bomb!

Slow Golf

Played on a Wednesday afternoon and took 2 hours and forty minutes to play the front nine. We gave up on playing 18. The greens were very inconsistent. My grandmothers shag carpet runs faster than some. Payed $79 for the hot deal I would much rather spend the extra $20 to go play Caledonia or True Blue.

What a golf course should be

I couldn’t believe the service as soon as I arrived from dropping off my clubs to picking me up when I parked my car.The pro shop people were so helpful. When the young man took my clubs to the cart he was energetic and friendly. And the course was just amazing and the rangers were polite and asked us if there was anything they could do and offered us water as well.Thank you for such a great experience

The Heritage Club

I played at the Heritage Club with three friends on Wednesday, March 26th. It’s been over twenty plus years since I last played here, and this is my first official review of the course. First off, the drive into the Heritage Club is just as beautiful if not more than Caledonia and the club house is just as amazing. I would suggest going outside to the back of the clubhouse and enjoy the views after your round. There is a great practice range area, where you get shuttled back and forth. The course itself is amazing. There is a great mix of holes throughout the course from the par 3’s to some risk reward par 4’s and 5’s. The whole course was in excellent shape. The greens rolled very nice have some contours on them. If I had to pick my favorite holes, they would be number 9 and 18. Number 9 is relatively short dogleg right par four with a tricky green. Number 18 is a three shot (for me) par 5 with water in front of the green. The green itself slopes from back to front, so if you can spin a ball of the back of the green to a front pin location you will be in good shape. Also, the entire staff from the bag drop, to the restaurant, to the pro shop were extremely nice and professional. Like I said, it’s been over twenty years since I last played here and it’s everything I remembered. I would not hesitate to go back and play it again.

Fun Course

Enjoyable 18-holes on a busy Friday. Course layout is challenging without being overly punitive. Local knowledge is key and we were very fortunate to be paired up with a member and his son-in-law. We could not have asked for a better pairing both in terms of help around the course and enjoyable playing partners. Greens generally are very large with excellent speed consistency throughout the round. Fairways well kept and the traps are savage. And watch out for gators, we saw several though they were uninterested in us.
