Village Greens Golf & Country Club
About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

The azaleas were in bloom!
I enjoy playing at Village Greens for the value and distance from my family’s home.
Both the pro shop attendant and the starter were very nice and helpful.
So so
Practice putting green fast, course greens slow, so all putts short. Also inconsistent. 5 holes cart path only but course dry. 5 hours to play and wasn't that crowded. Tees fair ro only good, rounded so not flat driving ares, and some just pitiful. Starter was real nice. In pro shop, guy acted like he didn't want to be there. Parking lot is where I found the best conditions.
overall the course was nice
It is an enjoyable and challenging course. The fairways were all in good condition. A few of the tee boxes were pretty beat up but over all were nice. The greens were the biggest problem. Several of them had patched damage that made putting harder. There was also some greens that had dozens of old pin locations that were not fixed very well.
Where's the Course Marshall?
I played with my son, brother and one guy the starter put with us. After the 3rd hole, the group in front of us was at least a hole behind the group in front of them and showed no signs of picking up the pace. We reported it and there was nothing done. 3 hours for 9 holes in rediculous. The only good thing was they stopped at the turn and we went through them. The front desk clerk was not rude, but he wasn't overly friendly. The Cart girl was awesome. The greens were very fast but in great shape. The fairways were still brown and cut very close to the ground. I would still reccomend this course, but please get a marshall. Especially for weekends.
A fun course with a challenge
I really enjoyed the layout with challenging dog legs, par 3 with water, and good greens. The greens played soft hitting into with putts that had breaks even in Feb. it was my first time there and will look to go back.
Ok value for cost
Greens are in good condition, pace of play was slow
WONDERFUL
Course was in fantastic shape minus a few tee boxes but that was no issue. Greens were very fast but very true. Can’t wait to play again!
Slow and rude!
Played 9 holes in 2hrs and 45 mins caused by stubborn Senior 4-some in front who clearly don’t know golf etiquette and play-through!
Blind hole - we played our tee shot, unaware that they were still on fairway. One of the group stole our balls and hit in to the pond!
Where are the rangers?!
Great Day Of Golf
It was a great day for golf and the gentleman I was paired up with were very friendly.
The best maintained course I have played in the area.
Not a long course but you do have to play some placement shots. I will definitely play this again
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape and the staff was very helpful.
