About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Great Course in Every Way
This was a very good time even though playing this course for the first time is challenging to say the least. Yet it is well worth it and would highly recommend.
Great condition!
Course has some of the best holes in the upstate as well as a couple of the least favorites. Still haven’t learned how to play number 7.
Pace of play a bit slow but just a wonderful day on a beautiful golf course with a really nice layout
Love River Falls
We have been playing at River Falls for over 8 years and have seen an incredible transformation of the course. It is now one of the best courses in the area and the one course I bring out of state guest to play for a great experience.
Golf Course too wet to play golf
I was very disappointed with my recent experience. The course was extremely wet due to heavy rain the entire day prior, which made playing conditions extremely poor and unplayable in most areas. Fairways were saturated, and many sections lacked proper drainage.
To make matters worse, the driving range was closed, yet this was not clearly communicated in advance. As a paying customer, I expect transparency about course conditions and facility closures before arriving.
I understand that weather is uncontrollable, but better communication and possibly adjusted pricing or rain accommodations would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations.
I hope management takes steps to improve communication and course readiness in similar situations moving forward.

The greens are coming along and much better than a few months ago - challenging and fun course - recommend playing - will be back

Haven't found a better course for the money and the staff was excellent.
Very Disappointed
This was the first time booking a course from you that I was very disappointed. The greens and tee boxes had been aerated and sanded. The greens were unputtable and the sand traps were unplayable. Speed of play was horrible until I managed to get around 4 or 5 groups. Because of that I skipped 4 or 5 holes. Temperature was 87 when I finished and I did not see any place to get water on the course. I doubt if I would go back to this course. I would not complain if I had paid $25 to play but at $46 it was a very bad value. Really disappointed after reading your previous reviews.
