River Falls Plantation
About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Beautiful course
Well maintained and offers a variety of challenges to make it more fun.
Nice course. Some flaws
Course was really nice. You’re able to let it rip on a couple which is nice and then there are some nice strategic play holes. The only problem I had was the greens are extremely narrow. Some of them are long, but they’re still narrow. Also was not a huge fan of. The fact that you can’t play as a single and they pay you with people. Very nice staff though
Great Layout, nice conditions & great Value
This course is very underrated. The first 2 holes are normal but starting on #3 the course changes into much more. Challenging but fair along with Elevation changes, the River, Ponds & Streams and a very nice natural setting. You are playing through a nice development but the natural setting combined with Wildflowers, grass that is maintained but not cut down & overall tranquility make this a must play. Hope to play here again.
great course and atmosphere
If you want to play some golf and see beautiful sides of nature, this is your course
Course Was In Great Shape.
Course was great, good mix of having to be strategic with your shots and being able to leg the driver fly. Pace of play was great. My only issue is they sent us out as foursome with two twosome’s right behind us. Our group did the hot deals tee time, but just felt like it could have been handled a little differently. But very minor issue, let the groups play through and everyone was cool about it. Looking forward to going back now that I have some course knowledge.
Great staff. Course in great shape
Don't miss a chance to play this course. Not for beginners.
No Walk on Weekends, $3 Snickers, $10 Service Fee
Just a slew of issues. Gentelman manning the pro shop... Well momma said if I ain't got nothing nice to say.. zip it..
Better than I Expected
I was returning from a work trip and decided to try this course. I was pleasantly surprised. The course has a unique layout with several holes requiring precise ball placement and/or small or narrow greens. The course was extremely fun to play. I will be back.
Typical Gary Player design
I thoroughly enjoy Gary Player golf courses. Took a great property and carved a golf course into it. You start with a very easy par 4 and from there things get progressively more challenging. Each hole stands out on it's own overall very impressed with the design.
Great Course in Every Way
This was a very good time even though playing this course for the first time is challenging to say the least. Yet it is well worth it and would highly recommend.
Great condition!
Course has some of the best holes in the upstate as well as a couple of the least favorites. Still haven’t learned how to play number 7.
Pace of play a bit slow but just a wonderful day on a beautiful golf course with a really nice layout
