White Plains Golf Club

First time playing this track, found the greens to be very good overall but there were some brown spots on a few greens. Fairways were firm but did have enough grass, except near the edges where the was some sandy areas with tree roots. Many of the cart paths also had invading roots leading to some bumpy areas. Blue yardage seems short due to short par 4s, but par 3s were good and par 5s were long. Clubhouse is old and outdated. Overall, this is a great value, but driving out to Pageland area is not easy. I expect to play here just a couple of times per year...but I don't see how they can stay in business.

Great day for golf. Paired up with a great guy to play with. Course not real busy so we played our round in 3 1/2 hours. Course was in good shape. There are some dry places in the fairways but it's been unusually dry. Greens in good, not excellent, shape. A few greens had a bad spot. Since this was a hot deal on golfnow and was only $21 I think this was a great value.

Had good greens, the rest of the course is awful.

Not worth the drive and I won’t be be back.

I gave it 2 stars overall only because the greens were in decent shape.

The staff is very friendly though

As a 3 handicap I must say the par 3's and 5's make this course tougher than most think. The short par 4's give you scoring opportunities but if your wedge game is not on, it's hard to go low.

Simple and cute. To be honest I think the rating is a bit high/overrated but for the price the value is definitely there. A few great holes. Greens were nice. Driver accuracy more important than distance here.

Always enjoy playing White Plains; good value for your money; a little challenging but like the layout! Just a long way to drive from my location.

I must say my buddies and I were all surprised how much fun this was to play. Greens are in great shape and 4 very solid par 3’s from the back tees. Pace of play was excellent as it took 3 1/2 hours on a holiday.. not going to find many courses for this price with greens like these. Definitely worth the drive from Charlotte

Played yesterday in a twosome. Got the round completed in 3-1/2 hours (we are 15-20 handicaps).. Really enjoy the layout. This course is deceptive w/ some pretty tight fairways and greens w/alot of slope). Only complaints are some of the tee boxes need some love (like 7, 9, and 14). Also, the course takes longer to drain than most courses..so if you play a day or two after rain, it will be very soggy (esp hole #18) .Overall I'm nitpicking w/those complaints, but a great value and and easy drive down 601.

The best greens for the price anywhere in the area. Fairways were also in good shape even for early winter. Some teeboxes are rough, but none were in awful condition. Worth the drive and the price.
