Fun little course with its hybrid setup. A little tougher than you would think. Definitely will play again in the future.

A fun layout and a nice variety of holes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I’m planning on returning to play soon.

This course did not cut the fairways down to the dirt, which made the ball sit up nicely to hit your next shots. There are various tee boxes for you to choose since this is only a nine-hole course. It was very open which is nice if you are just learning to play golf, or you are not a faster player. I enjoyed playing this course 2X for 18 holes in less than 3 hours and had time to get back to our Fall Creek campground site at Lake Keowee with our friends who did not play golf. I played early in the morning when it was cooler, and our friends were sleeping in late.

Had a good time, played 18 and never got rushed. We played until it got almost to dark to see. Can’t wait to see it when everything gets done.

Curse was in great shape even tho it was only nine holes due to reconstruction. Clubhouse was under construction so they had a trailer for the pro shop. After learning the plans for the course I will undoubtedly plan to play this course again. Very friendly staff and very helpful getting me started before my tee time. I strongly suggest that people visit this course soon

Nine-hole course that is undergoing construction-new clubhouse and new par-three lighted course. Pretty course-greens need attention.

Course is in good shape with nice layout and staff. Will play again and recommend. We didn’t mind that it is a nine-hole course you play twice from different tees. Great day on the links!

Overall this was a nice place to play. It really tests your game. Lots of hills and long distances. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only downside was it being under construction and only being able to play the same 9 holes which caused some back-up on the course. I think when they finish the construction and also have the par 3 course finished it will be a very nice place to play.

What's truly remarkable is how this course caters to players of all skill levels – it's the perfect playground to bring along friends, regardless of their skill set. While some seasoned players might find it a bit easy, those seeking to hone their skills without feeling punished throughout the course makes this an absolute must-visit.

The coarse had a super fun layout! All of the holes were unique and fun. The newly paved cart paths rode amazing! Fairways and greens were in great shape. You will not find a better course for the price.

Pickens golf club is under new ownership and is having a much overdue new clubhouse built. It’s construction and increased parking lot size along with what should be a good practice Putting green should be ready in a year or two. The course is in average shape, meaning that the tee boxes are over sanded and need to fill in. Although the Fairways are well covered with Bermuda, they didn’t do much leveling when they designed it.. very bumpy. And the greens have many areas that need grass to fill in. We arrived on time for our tee time, but still had to wait 20 minutes behind a log jam at the first hole because of unmanaged starting and course pace of play. Granted, we played on a Saturday, but we left at the seventh hole because we had already been playing for over two hours.

*** Important FYI: holes one through three don’t exist so you start on number four and repeat holes, just playing at different distances.

For the price, it’s decent enough to enjoy on a weekday. I look forward to coming back and trying it again when everything is built and all the holes are being used.
