About
Lake Marion Golf Course is situated in the heart of Santee, one of the East Coast's premier golfing destinations. The course is routed through a series of lakes and mature pine forests. Trees border the fairways and there are 47 strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the greens. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The gently rolling terrain provides elevated greens and subtle but tricky contours. The winding layout also has a few doglegs that can be hard to navigate. Don't let the challenges fool you though, the golf course is player friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence. It is a favorite amongst both locals and visitors not only for the extremely playable layout but also the well conditioned greens that putt fast and true all year long.

always one of my favoite courses over the years. This time whoever set the pins had them on side hills, near the edges of the greens and on down slopes and humpbacks. It was obvious that they had been there for a long time as the low side of the cups had chuncks out and dead grass, from people having uphill comeback putts for maybe a week or me. Used to be the pride of Santee....better off at Santee National or Wyboo. Sorry to report this.

This is a beautiful course and very nicely laid out.
This is a nice course.
Eveything about the course is great. Its just a little slow going when you get behind those who don't play often. The starter should be there daily.
cheating yourself if you don't go.
This course is a jewel. Not your typical flat low country layout. Real hills, large greens with reasonable undulations. Upkeep is excellent.

Course was in great condition. Greens are challenging and in fantastic shape.
Great value for the money
Drove up from Charleston to play here. Great course for 19 dollars. Tough greens that break a ton if you're on the wrong side of the hole. Gps was helpful. Need to play more than once to know where to land the ball. Overall good experience except for a fivesome that would not let us play through (twosome). Took a lot longer for us to play and being irritated caused some frustration and poor play. Overall I would play again.

Good golf course a bit testy with uphill and down hill type of holes but definetly worth the money

Excellent layout and forgiving of bad shots.Greens were a little slow but rolled true. The GPS in the carts was a great help. Can't wait to go back.
Great Day for golf
Early spring but the fairways where well kept. Greens seemed really slow and may not have been cut every day. All in all a great course and we will return next year. GPS on carts was really helpful.

Good course to play
The course was in great shape. Greens were green and in good shape as was the fairways. Was looking at shirts in the pro shop asked if they had any xxx staff would ck. I said i would stop back after golf. when I went back the staff had 6/7 for me to pick from. Will go again!!
Great TRack
I always enjoy making the 35 minute drive to Santee to play Lake Marion. I love the course.
Slow!!
Need a ranger.All day was hit and wait. Half of the greens were bad with many bare spots.

some of the greens were in rough shape, but everything else was perfect. average difficulty, staff is always friendly, and well worth it for us to drive up from Charleston to play.
Great course
Have been playing this course for over 20 years. It is one of my favorite courses. I live within 50 miles. I play this course whenever it is not tourist season

Great tract on your way south and right off the highway.
One of The Best in the state
Awesome golf course and one of my favorites in the country . This course has numerous tee's that will accommodate any level of player. The combination of water and elevation changes is not only beautiful but challenging , you have to give this a try.
