I Love This Course
This is pretty much my home golf course. I go there and golf and everyone is fun, and kind and awesome. They have a covered driving area and I often bring my four year old and they treat her well, everyone from the pro shop, restaurant, and everyone else. I generally play when its hot in the afternoon but there is plenty of shade and tall trees so its a great time even in July.

Course is in good shape with the exception of the sand. There is no sand in the traps . Locks take a drop no closer to the hole. Fairways or in decent shape. Greens roll well but just a little slow. Driving range is top golf shape. Monitors and computer tracking. Range balls can be purchased at the range with credit card without even going in the pro shop
Great Course
This is my favorite course in Bakersfield. The overall course is best maintained, both on fairways and off fairways. I'be played at some really junky golf courses before and this whole course just feels nice. I just joined the men's club today and a. Looking forward to golfing here more often now!
I never played that day
I booked a tee time for 4. I took my 15 year old daughter as a spectator and passenger in my cart. They charged me $35 which I thought was very ridiculous. When my 4th player from the group checked in, he was told that he couldn’t have a cart because there was a limit of 2 carts per group. This even though they knew I had a spectator who was charged, and the denial of the 3rd cart prevented our 4th player from being able to play. The staff was rude about the situation and wouldn’t accommodate us, so we asked for refunds. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a golf course. Side note, it is 4 days later and I still have not received my refund of my charges for that day.
Members there have poor etiquette
Played a Monday afternoon, got caught behind a 4 some and wouldn’t make an effort to let a solo through, i skipped a green then was caught behind a pair of old timers. They would hit 2-3 each shot with no reguard to pace or players behind, then the previous 4 was waiting on me waiting on them waiting on ANOTHER group doing 2 drops per hole. Horrible HORRENDOUS golf etiquette out there. Course is nice and staff was good but everyone golfing has no clue on how the game is supposed to be played
Nice pace of play
We had a 1:57 tee time 83 degrees Course was not crowded. Greens in good shape. They have water stations on a few holes but we’re not filled with water coolers. Water at the bathrooms on the front and back did not have working water fountains .
Greens of Mediocrity
Huge but narrow greens with too much slope and horrible turf conditions, These fools have never figured out how to grow grass.
Riverlakes is almost there!
Good pace of play, carts are always clean, charged and ready to go, staff Chad is always pleased to greet you and assist with any questions or coaching tip,
Greens and fairways are coming back into shape just in time for fun time golf season!
Super slow pace of play
Super slow pace of play again. No Marshall. Made for a not great day of golf! Won’t be back anytime soon.
