Beautiful day with my son
The people are great. My 9 year old son and I played some of the most enjoyable golf we’ve played.
Only course in Big Bear
This is the only course available to play in Big Bear Lake, California. Overall this course is fun. I had a good time. The only thing is that the rates are kind of inflated however, it's the only course available in Big Bear Lake, California. For that reason, it's a great course. The people I played with were really nice. They were dog friendly because I have a service animal and it came automatically with a card. Overall, this is a nice course staff. A little iffy, however they were considered it when it came down to me wanting to take my service animal on the course. I would play it again though
Only Game in Town
I live in Georgia and Florida so my review is biased but this course was an afterthought by the owners of the Bear Ski resort. 9 hole course with 2000 ground squirrel holes, no grass tee boxes and torn up greens taking 5+ hours to play because there are no marshalls to speed up play. For $70 (senior rate) you can play some very nice courses back East. Only play if you are desperate.
Not best experience at Bear Mtn
1) Cashier very rude. The group ahead of us walked out angrily swearing about her bad attitude. I went in and had a similar experience. Young brunette woman.
2) Waited one hour past scheduled tee time due to girls HS tourney. No good reason for this delay. It should have been planned. timing should have been understood before selling tee times to others.
3) more gopher eradication effort required
4) greens pretty darned good
5) Approach to #3 green both before and after walking bridge needs MAJOR improvement. Very difficult pushing or pulling a walking cart through there.
Beautiful day of golf
Greens are like lightning, super challenging. Course is in such a great spot. It’s 100 degrees down the hill and it was 72 degrees up here. Perfect Summer relief for the golf addiction.
Fun 9 hole mountain course
Course was in good condition and staff was friendly.
The greens are very undulated and the par 5’s are reachable in 2. Pace of play was a bit slow when I was there on a random weekday but nothing too bad. Beautiful course
Tough greens, rough cart driving but beautiful mountain course
Every staff member here was very nice! The conditions of the greens and fairways were great but even half a foot off the fairway, deep pot holes everywhere. I played on a holiday weekend so pace was a little slow but still good. The greens were insanely unpredictable and generally ultra fast. I would come back if I ever stayed in Big Bear again.
Beautiful blue skies
Had a beautiful bluebird day and course was fun to play. A couple of elevated tees, chipping up and over the creek to land on the green made a good challenge for all.
