Wouldn’t recommend playing this course
Came to Big Bear to visit and spend time with family. Figured Id go play 9 holes with my brothers. First off, to play 9 Holes was $55 which is a ridiculous price to play 9 Holes. Ive played 18 holes at way nicer courses for less than $55. We rented clubs because we weren’t from the area and the condition of the rentals were terrible. They weren’t clean nor taken care of. The fairways and greens aren’t in good conditions. The fairways aren’t taken care of and are super bumpy. You’re also required to wear Polos at this course which is ridiculous because Ive played nicer courses that don’t require you to wear a polo. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time and money to play at this course if you visit Big Bear.
Good fun
Fun golf course. Couple narrow fairways but overall a great time.
Fun Course
Only a par 9 but with 4 par 4’s and one 5 par! Makes for a fun round, even had one raised tee box and a par 3 shot straight over a small lake. Also Grass conditions are fair/good. So would recommend playing if your up here.
Beautiful course
Fun and challenging course
Beverage cart came by a couple times
Need Marshals to monitor play.
Hacks try and play from the blue tees and have no business playing from the blue.
They leave their trash on the course because there are no trash cans
Drive on the fairways on par3’s despite the signs stating stay on the cart path.
Nice for what location
Not a bad day to unwind and relax . The course is flat. The conditions are average. The greens are in good condition. The fairways are so so. But it’s the only course in big bear.
Golf Now got no respect!!
I got 2 tee times through Golf Now but course acknowledged only one tee time. They said Golf Now has a different tee sheet but they didn’t honor that. They sold that tee time on their own.
Even for the other tee time we had, they didn’t honor
$39 Golf Now Green fee l reserved. They charged $49 (their fee) and told me to talk to Golf Now on my own if I don’t agree.
Is Golf Now losing respect these days?
Fun course
Lady working in the pro shop was very curteous and friendly. It was my wife’s first time out so our pace was slower but we did let a group behind us move ahead, they were thankful for that. Marshall was driving the course, which made us feel at ease. Overall fun time out.
Horrible management
I have been playing here once or twice a week for a year now. I was thinking about buying a pass since it’s my the only course within an hour, but I have never felt uncomfortable and mistreated by course staff my life. The value for you money at this course is an absolute joke, considering you spend $35 and only get 9 holes with a cart that barley even steers. Another thing is the course staff doesn’t have golf knowledge. They don’t inform you about any course conditions or pin positions etc. And don’t even get me started on the driving range.
I tip my hat to the maintenance team for working with what they got cause maintaining a course in this elevation is tough.
.
Bad customer service
I booked a round on Golfnow for 12:45 today for $39 for 9 holes, when I arrived at the course to check in the girl at the desk said it was $49, I told her I booked on Golfnow for $39, I told her I had a confirmation email , she wanted to see it so I got it for her, she then said Golfnow was wrong. The manager Bjorn came over and said he would not honor my Golfnow tee time and that I should take it up with Golfnow. I have golfed all over the US and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received, it felt like because they are the only golf option around they can treat you however they want.
