Beacon Ridge Golf & Country Club

Although it is wet due to all of the rain we have had lately, the course is in great shape. The greens are challenging and the fairways are beautiful. The sand in the bunkers is still fairly wet, but I did not encounter any standing water. The women’s locker room was clean but not plush. Bill, in the pro shop was super friendly and very helpful. I already made another tee time and can’t wait to play this course again.

I have avoided playing Beacon Ridge for years because of its negative reputation as being a du… I mean not a great course. But we decided to take a change and we were pleasantly surprised! For the most part, the course was in really nice shape. Fairways were very playable and the bunkers are well maintained. The greens were a little sparse but rolled quick and true. Overall, Beacon Ridge is a good value and will be well worth a return visit in the near future!

I try to play here a couple times a month and it’s the best I’ve seen it so far this year. Absolutely in fantastic condition. I play off a 7 hcp and played the back tees, that distance with the smaller greens is a great challenge. We were the only players on the course for a late 18 but most of the afternoons I have played it’s been pretty open. It’s a great quiet course and I can’t recommend it enough.

Pace of play was great since I don’t think anyone actually plays here. This course has a nice layout but the greens need some care. They were recently aerated but it doesn’t look like it’s being watered enough. Don’t expect to hang out after the round either because there isn’t a restaurant or bar. With a little influx of money this could be a great place. It’s a shame it’s so run down.

I enjoyed the layout, not an up and back track . Sand traps were in good shape. Tee boxes were OK and the cart paths were a little rough. Very friendly staff I would play it again.

Great layout in a beautiful setting. Too bad course conditions don’t match up with the layout. If conditions were better this would be one of the better courses in the area.

All greens are healthy and smoothly, Fairways are clean

The course is good, they’ve cleaned up a lot of the irrigation leaks and the bunkers are all clean and well kept. Greens are holding up, they’re running verticutter reels on their mowers so they aren’t as smooth, need to be topdressing more often to get them right but still fine. There’s a few back tees that are thin but they were actively working to improve that when I played. Very clean course as usual and nothing out of place. Raymond in the pro shop works hard to make sure you enjoy your round and have whatever you need. Always enjoy playing here.

My daughter and I played 4 days.. This course was the least expensive, but was in the best condition of the four.

All greens are good condition, almost same as Pinehurst series courses, and layout is very beautiful

Seven Lakes is a hidden gem in Eest End just outside Pinehurst. Beacon Ridge is playable for all skill sets. Some long Par 4s to stretch you out. The ridges designed to keep the ball in play as long as you were not too far off line with your tee ball. Greens rolled true and great shots rewarded as witnessed by my Hole in One on 14! A little ride from Raleigh but worth the drive!

The course was in very poor condition. Some tees more like rough. Fairways and rough indistinguishable. Played this course in the fall and the course wasn’t the best but it was worth another time. Worse condition this time so we won’t be back.
