Course Needs Work
While the course is interesting, tight fairways with small greens, the course is just not kept up. The owners need to invest money into the course to bring it up to acceptable standards. This can be done with the fees collected, but that does not seems to be happening. I would avoid this course as there are any others that can be played.
Needs TLC
You can tell that in its prime this was more than likely a phenomenal course to play. The course conditions are horrible! The conditions were not because of today’s weather or previous days weather. The course is just not maintained and taken care of.
I really did enjoy the course layout. If the conditions were comparable to most others in the area, my experience would have been really fun, challenging and appreciated.
I really would like to see an effort to get the course up to the golf course area standards. If it were, I could see it being one of my favorites that I have played in the Pinehurst area.
The woods
Under new ownership and it’s gonna be an amazing place sometime soon. Excellent hospitality !!!
Can see where they are working hard to improve the coarse and it’s a great value for the area. Restaurant at the club house is outstanding !!!
Woods golf
Nice course that is under new ownership. Greens need a little work but overall the course is in pretty good shape.
I will be back.
Great value
Nice course. Mix of short holes and long, challenging holes. Great value for the money.
Good Value
Under new ownership. They are working hard to improve the course. The front nine is in better shape than the back nine. But for $45.00 you should not complain.
Promising course
The layout is great and this course could be great once the upkeep catches back up. Very friendly staff and they’re trying to make it nice. In a couple years it may be one of the better courses in the area.
5 inch fairways and tees
The greens were fair. Some were slow and others were a tad faster. The grass on the tees and fairways were at least 5 inches tall. Lost 2 balls in the fairway. I had to pull weeds to tee up the ball. The proshop didn't warn us of the conditions of the course and shouldn't have charged us about half the price. The course shouldn't be opened until they can get it mowed.
Work by the new owner has greatly improved course conditions and conditions are getting better by the day. Fun course and a great vaule.
Don’t waste your time.
Course was a mess. Yes, flooding happened recently but the course couldn’t have been damaged that much… the course was already trashed.
Seems they are more concerned with the little restaurant than golf course operation.
I won’t go back as that’s are way too may other options in Sandhills of NC.
Not Great
Course was in bad shape. Fairways were like the rough at other courses. Greens were bad, and chewed up. Tee areas very bad. Staff was very friendly, and the bar was very nice.
New packaging
Out is the new In and In is the new Out. This is reflected in ther new scorecards, however, your yardage apps may not have updated.
New management said it eases digestion, er, congestion around the bar/grill area as groups make the turn or finish their round. TBD.
Best pace of play for a 9:00 a.m. in my life; nobody ahead, nobody behind.......Chef's kiss because it allowed for multiple attempts every hole to attempt to make a putt. The greens had a 5 o'clock shadow from last week.
New packaging but same product, just now a little more spendy.
