Vacation golf
Throughout the years we’ve played a lot of courses in the Gatlinburg area . This course is now my new favorite!! It’s a beautiful course with a very friendly and helpful staff! We will definitely play it next year and highly recommend it to all vacationing golfers!
Great time
Great time fun course and just a bit challenging for the beginner and intermediate. Greens in good condition.
Excellent golf
The course was in excellent condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf. Cart paths were a bit rough in places. Otherwise we have no complaints. We look forward to the next time we can play there.
Not a bad course
Pretty crowded but that’s to be expected on Saturday morning. Course wasn’t too bad, although a few rough spots on the fairways. A little pricey compared to other courses I’ve played at that compares.
Fun Track
Fun track, we played the red and blue courses. Greens were in perfect condition. They were fast, varied in size, nice subtle breaks, some challenging tiers, and receptive. Fairways were in good shape - plenty of elevation changes which meant plenty of challenging lies compared to the flat lands I normally play.
Awesome
The course is in great shape even after the recent storms. I live close so i play there a lot. I highly recommend it.
After the storm
Played a Tee a huge overnight storm. Tree damage every where. The staff was awesome and had use on the coarse with only a short delay. Even after all the rain and wind the coarse was still great. All but one fairway handled the water well. The greens where true and rolled very well.
Nice warm up
My wife and I drove in today. Wanted good course to warm up on. We are from Connecticut and have not played much, too much rain! We wanted course with not much water, but good rating. The red and white were perfect. Thanks
Great day at an excellent course
We played a twosome and teed off at 7am, playing the blue course and then the white. The course was in great shape, the pace of play was excellent, and we finished before the heat of the day got too bad. It was a great day on a course that I would recommend to anyone.
Great place to spend a beautiful day.
I’ve play here several times and come to love the course more every time. . Views are spectacular and course is in the best shape I can recall.
A few glitches
No useable water on the course. No drinking water and not one single ball wash! Cart path only due to recent rains . At age 75 I wouldn’t have booked if I had known I would have had to walk 18 holes !
27 hole course
Always look forward to playing this course..
Having 27 holes is a real plus and allows for a very good pace of play...
Prefer to play the white and blue ...
The truth
Nice location. Nice views. Nice staff. Problem is the greens. I would not call them difficult or challenging. I would call them goofy and silly. I have played over 300 different courses in the last 38 years. This is the first time i Ever walked off after 9 holes when i paid for 18. 3 foot putts that miss the hole will roll 60 feet and finish off the green. One guy i played had a straight uphill putt. He put it 2 feet past the hole, it stopped and started moving again right back to him, passed him and off the green behind him. I love bent greens and enjoy a challenge. Everyone tells me i am a very good putter (i average 29.7 putts per round, but this is not golf. I dont know if it was a maintenance error or what? A local told me it was their way of protecting the course. Not worth my time, it doesn't reward good shotmaking or good putting.
I drive 1hr each way to play Dandridge just because of the greens. They are year in/year out the best greens around. They roll at times (my guess) 12’s on the Stimpmeter. If you like to hammer putts to the hole these aren’t for you BUT if you like to make pure strokes and be rewarded then you’ll rack up a few 1 putts.
I have played this course for 10 years and a minimum of 25 times a year for the last 3, I’ve never seen the greens like you are describing, yes they get lightning quick and play tough sometimes, but my guys love the challenge and never have those kind of issues! Honestly these aren’t even the fastest greens I’ve played!
