Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Practice Course
You need to come here knowing that it's not a place to keep score but to practice. Usually pace is pretty open. If you're on a bare patch, just move your ball to some grass. Greens are receptive for practicing approach shots. If you come here to practice, you'll have fun. If you come to keep score, you won't.
Waste of Time and Money
Left the course after 10 holes. Barely any grass to hit from, including tee boxes... mostly uneven dirt. The only good part was the greens. Pace of play was horrible... 2hrs and 45 min for front 9... Marshall sat on his phone and ignored the group that was 3 full holes behind... he was unhelpful... very disappointing partial round
Understand the drought
I like this course, it’s very assessable and pretty easy going pace. Very dry in areas, and then muddy in others. Sprinkler’s running in the middle of the fairway, but I understand. Happy to just play at different courses and this one I will be back.
ABSOLUTE DUMP!
This was and has the potential to be a good course. They have let it go so bad, its not even funny! Our group agreed that we could replace the ball to a position that actually has grass! So many divots and dirt! They clearly dont care about this course anymore and charging more than $10 for a round is highway robbery. Lucky I dont have pictures!
Cool weather
It's very good in hot weather. I like different layouts in each hole.
Great day to play
Worked out great only a twosome ahead of me sso pace was great !!! 3 1/2 hrs done
Course seemed dried out from the previous time I played it which was about 5 years ago.. don't remember it in that condition before.. that's why I thought to play it with a friend that never played it before and lived that way.. Water Hazards were drained..
Camarillo Springs
First time here. It looked like it was once a great and beautiful course. The drought has killed it. Fairways are in bad shape and water hazards are empty craters. Clubhouse and even the golf carts are in rough shape.
The course plays fine but if I had to pay full price I would not play here. Nice views. Good breeze from ocean.
Fair course
So this course is undergoing some new changes and upcoming new ownership to my understanding. The majority of the holes feel well maintained up until the greens.
The greens were extremely bumpy and made for some frustrating putts. Felt most of my lines were good but would get thrown by the bumps.
Majority of the fairways were average, up until holes 13 - 18. Was hard to tell the difference between the rough and the fair due to the upkeep.
Overall, I would return to the course but hopefully with the new changes comes better maintenance.
Camarillo Springs Golf Club
I recently played 18 here with my friend and we were both disappointed with the course conditions. The fairways were all brown, the greens were all uneven, and the cart paths were all super bumpy. I will say the pace of play was excellent! My friend and I played all 18 holes within 4 hours. Also, the first 9 holes has great views of the mountains lining up against the course. Regarding the staff, they seemed to not be interested in assisting you with questions. They claim to clean the restrooms every hour, but the men's restroom was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I think $60 is too expensive to play here, especially with how poor the conditions are. I'd be more comfortable paying $35-$40 a round. Players beware!
