Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Best value there is
Greens are great. Fairways are getting there. Pace of play was a little slow. Can’t beat the price
Best value around
Greens are in great shape. Fairways are coming around. Pace of play was a little slow. But $45 with a cart is hard to beat.
So slow....
5.5 hr. round, painful....Maybe weekdays are better
In crap shape
I think the folks who run this course believe that water is bad for their course. Calling this place a cow pasture would be complimentary. The folks being the counter are nice. I played for $13.00 and feel like I overpaid by $20.00.
Don’t play it.
I have been golfing for fun for 45 years and this course ranks the too five poorest courses ever played. The time and care were spent on the greens the fairways on the back nine were hard as concrete. This is a course that does not have either the money or management to be in business.
The price to play this course versus Westlake just up the road was dollar more,. Absolutely no comparison to Westlake’s condition. Upon arrival they had a shortage of golf carts, range balls were a crap shoot for quality.
Upon arrival you are struck by the overwhelming smell of sewage - the course claims the water used for irrigation is recycled so not certain where the origin of the smell comes from.
The cart situation was resolved just before tee time.
The course Marshall stood on the first tee box for whatever reason we could not determine other than perhaps assessing the level of our game.
This is a course that does not have the financial resources to be charging the price it charges.
The only redeeming quality of the course is the mountains surrounding it are beautiful. They need money and it won’t be sufficient from local golfers.
You will
Leave this round wondering what happened to your iron game - you could hit it more consistently off the range Matt’s.
Took 6 hours to play 14 holes...
Took 6 hours to play 14 holes...
I liked the layout, conditions were ok, it was a beautiful day and the staff was pleasant.
They overbooked and we had 3 groups waiting to tee off at every hole. It was a 15 minute wait at many of the tee boxes.
I was having a good round but had to leave since it took so long. Would have been fun to finish.
Needs Work
I enjoyed playing this course for the first time. It’s a good course to work on your game, but I would never pay full price to play here. This course has a lot of potential and was probable a great course at one time. The cart paths are very rough, there are bare spots all over the fairways, and the bunkers need some real sand. On a positive note, the greens and practice area were very nice. I will definitely be back to play this course if I get a deal time.
Worst Course Ever
Just to keep it short...GolfNow should not want to be affiliated with this course (and I use the word course loosely...more like a cow pasture with 18 flags spread around it). Even getting past the fact that the tee boxes were awful and fairways were trashed, it was like playing pinball on the greens. I've never seen a golf ball bounce around and riccochet quite like that.
