Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

G golf
The front 9 was pretty amazing really quiet Nice scenic view of mountains but once you get to the back 9 it was like a completely different course. And I don’t mean that in a good way the back 9 Wasn’t properly kept well and wasn’t enjoyable.
Steady decline
Rude pro shop staff. No control or announcing of tee queue; a mess with people standing around trying to figure out the proper order of play.
Tee boxes in horrible shape. Greens were soft and bumpy. Sand traps like concrete.
Declining Conditions GREEDY ownership
IT has been in decline for years. The prettty pictures with the lakes are misleading. most of those lakes have been dry for 5+ years now. Weather is always good there. T boxes are good, fairways are pretty bad. Greens still ok. Real issue since return from covid is the cost to play has gone up. like all courses they are making money back with higher green and cart fees. Howeve at Cam springs they have gong down to 7 minute spacing between groups. If you play on friday/sat/sun count on 5+ hours. 7 minutes is to tight, the course cant handle being that packed and there are a lot of senior and rookie golfers on this cours. Staff is friendly. they have big plans to overhaul the property but likely because of that NO money has been put back into this course for a LONG time.. its too bad
Nice course close by my neighborhood and in good shape for the price.
Yuck
Had to ride together and the course was incredibly slow. Quit after 10 holes.
Fun course to play
Considering that the developer who owns course would like to see it die ,it’s in pretty good condition. Since the Camarillo city council made it clear that the course would be kept in playing condition Until a decision is made about the future things have improved a lot. Credit is due to the developer for stepping up and making the improvements.
When everything else it booked
I love the layout of this course, tee box and fairways need some love but the green are ok conditions.
Good deal, but needs maintenance
I got a great hot deal, however the condition of the tee boxes were bad , real bad. If they fix it and touch up fairways this would be a certain replay course.
Challenging enough
Amazing staff. Great course with equally challenging and enjoyable holes. The fairways, roughs and greens are in amazing condition. Best in years. Sand a little stiff, but seems normal this time a year in this area.
Cool cart chick
Usually play Victoria Lakes when up here but that course was all booked. Was happily surprised with Camarillo Springs. Deer in fairway which was an awesome site and malnourished coyote hung out with us from hole 2-6. Shot out to Stu and 2 Tonys that I played with. Great group of guys!
