Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Nice greens, rougher fairways

Played for the first time here today, and it was a fun design. (I loved holes 2-6 especially) The greens were in good shape, as well as the rough around the greens. Fairways were okay in most spots, but they definitely need some love. Overall, it was a fun course and I would play here again but it would not be my first choice.

Nice Course needs maintenance

Even though it is the middle of winter the fairways and overall condition was failry poor.

It's not unplayable but the tee boxes were significantly bad.

The Front 9's lakes were all drained.

Great scenery and atmosphere just bad grass management.

Many sand traps had pools of water in them.

Would like to play again in Spring/Summer time.

great layout

The Springs is not a premium, club-style course. But it is a very challenging course with a great layout that requires every kind of shot. When we played this time the greens were in fantastic condition and rolled fast. They are usually a little slower so this was a nice improvement. My girlfriend has basically learned to play on this course and we always enjoy the casual and fun, yet quality round of golf. I understand how much money it takes to maintain a golf course, but would love to see softer, more maintained fairways.

1:10 start time, able to play 12 before dark.

Nice staff in a tough situation resulting in a bit of a cluster F.

Great layout, horrible conditions per $

I’ve played here about 7 times and its worse each time i go.. the tee boxes are pushed forward and beaten pretty bad, yet the correct tee boxes dont even seem to be under repair. they have pretty much given up on the black tees so the course is shorter than advertised. The fairways at their best are 50% grass 50% hard dirt, if you go off the fairway (or even down the middle some holes!) you’re likely to be hitting from a gopher hole. The pace of play was bad at 730am. I was sent out as a single in between two foursomes and there was no marshal to be found. Also, they charged a “holiday price” on a monday 3 days before a religious holiday? Its a shame because the course design is fun and the greens were the best part, about a 7/10. Ill wait until this is renovated into a 12-hole course to return.
