Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Gone to Seed
Very interesting layout with lots of variety to the holes, however conditions are very poor. Greens are good, tee boxes a disaster, fairways not much better.
5 hour round on Sunday morning, too many twosomes and fivesomes on the course.
Dissapointed for the cost, plus the additional per rider $12 makes it not a great value.
Nice Track in medium good public shape
I hesitate to write this because I don't want it to be crowded but Camarillo Springs is the current sweet spot in my area for a good enough course at a good enough price. With the pandemic many of my usual haunts are too pricey or too crowded or both. I've ended up here. It's a nice layout - 16 good holes + 2 boring par 3s. Not in the greatest shape but good enough around the greens and down the fairways to not drive you nuts. Pleasant environment with the coastal weather and sort of marshy, farm field adjacent atmosphere. Wind plays a big part in your strategy. The course has struggled in recent years, but with current level of play they are watering and things are "good enough." The rough is Kikayou - when watered the same as Riviera country club. You have to develop a strategy for getting out of it - not necessarily grabbing the sand wedge like most courses. I enjoy playing here, often in under 4 hours for 18, walking.
Fairways Rough & Dry
Course needs watering. Poor lies due to hardpan surface .
Course is getting in shape
It has been awhile but it’s definitely getting better the greens are very good and the fairways are as good as I have seen in the last 9 years. My wife and I enjoy this course and the layout is great.
Greens in great shape t boxes were not good fairways getting better
Still a great value
Excellent value indeed. The greens were pristine. The course was well groomed and cared for. One complaint, the tee boxes are atrocious. Uneven. No level area. This factor was by far the worst part of the experience.
Excellent Bargain, nice layout, below average condition
Enjoyed playing here for the first time. Glad I was with some regulars as yardages are poorly marked and there are some tricky holes. Overall the layout is challenging and fun. Four sets of tees to pick difficulty. Enough length to keep you interested. The weather in Camarillo is usually very pleasant. The scenery on the course is nice. The course maintenance is not great, but its not so bad as to keep me from coming back. Greens rolled pretty well. Fairways were decent. Pace of play was surprisingly good, considering the number of people out. Played in 4:15. The course was rough around the edges, but considering the bargain price I'd come back in a heart beat.
Relaxing Round
If you can get out to this course early on a weekday morning you will be in for a nice treat. I was playing alone between several foursomes and was able to take a nice relaxing pace and really enjoy the fresh air and the views. All-in-all, fantastic course for a nice relaxing morning.
It is a great pasture.
Different type of course. Greens soft . fairways a bit bumpy.teeboxes okay. Fun for the money.
