Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Nice day for golf!
Had a nice day at the course. Big drawback was the grass was being mowed and there were a lot of patches of cut grass al over. A couple of holes they had the sprinklers going (one was on the green and made putting an adventure). Overall a nice day though. I like playing this course, even though I lose a few balls.
Would play again.
It was awesome. The course just need some love and TLC and it would look really nice.
It’s getting worse
This is the 2nd review and I have to be honest, this course is getting worse. Now, they don’t even bother cutting or rolling greens on a Sunday morning round. The entire course is soaked and barely any type of fairways to be found. Tee boxes are atrocious and every one of them has you hitting from a sidehill lie. I don’t think you can have a worse condition course. Maybe saw 1 or 2 workers and they were only watering more wet spots. Just break a dam and let it flood. It would be a better lake than a golf course.
Run down
Tee boxes were basically weeds and deep divots, fairways were not mowed very well, rough was trashy weeds , there were streams of sewage like stagnant water everywhere and no water where there once was a pond, greens were not maintained (slow and sloppy) , overall the place is run down and probably on its way out
Slow slow
Sorry not the courses fault but if you’re behind the wrong senior group could lead to a 5 hr round
Wait for the $35 w/cart deal!
Been playing here for years.. Generally it’s empty due to poor management and inflated prices, $45 w/o cart?! For THIS place? Not a chance, They fired Glenn in the pro shop, have some douche bag that should be taking tickets at the movies. Tee boxes still hairy and not flat.. Bunkers are not bunkers, the rough is awful. I feel bad for the employees there. Management; shame on you. You have the bones of a great course, put some $$$ and love into it and people will come!
Just Bummed
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was fine til the 12th after the clubhouse but that happens. Our group of three was more disappointed because we booked a tee time and it included a cart, but when we arrived we were notified that we had the walking rate. Just a bummer when I had a confirmation email saying our rate included a cart. Whatever, just a typical golf course vibe to not agree with a younger customer.
fast round, starting to brown a bit
This is the easiest course to get onto and play a quiet single-player or twosome round. It is starting to brown a bit, and there is a fair bit of mud on the course, but the staff is great and flexible and the greens are in good shape.
Not worth it unless on sale
First of all, I don’t write reviews often but I think it’s helpful to inform people of experiences to help them make a accurate decision. Camarillo Springs has potential to be a great track, but overall it was sub-par(no pun intended) for the most part. I was suppose to tee off around 5:30am but the pro didn’t show up until 5:35am. Price was great so I guess can’t be too picky. Anyway, tee boxes were the worst I’ve seen. Fairways were soaked and muddy. Greens were actually decent and rolled pretty well. Difficult from the tips and with a little TLC, this course could be good again. 2.5 out of 5.
Greens are in great shape , course was drying out but they resumed watering it to much. Great value for the price
fast round, but greens under repair
the course was empty today and as a twosome we played the round on 3 1/2 hours. greens have q lot of sand on them. cost at $45 was a bit higher than I expected.
