Great course and staff
The course and staff were great! I booked a tee time at 11:40 but they were nice to allow me to tee off sooner. The greens were in great shape and pace of play was excellent.
Absolutely Beautiful
Unfortunately they had just plugged the greens yet they still rolled like a tour green. If that wasnt a factor in my review, 100% would be a 5 star course for me as there were a few putts between the four of us that tracked well but was of course thrown off. Awesome range, chipping and putting greens. I will 100 % be back next spring to try it with fresh greens. Beautiful course all over and was very challenging,
First time
Excellent course, friendly staff, and great value!
Greens were in excellent condition as was the fairways.
First time playing there and definitely will return.
Why bother with a tee time?
We arrived well in advance of our tee time and expected to get out on time. Instead we waited 30 minutes beyond our scheduled time before we teed off. When asked why we were so delayed the “ranger” said there was a large group ahead of us who “played every Sunday”. We’ll, we play most Sundays and had never experienced this before. Given that there are three nines, why they sent everyone off the same tee given the back-up seemed ridiculous. This was more evident when we made then turn and again saw that one of the nines was open and yet they sent everyone to the same tee, again. Poor course management and the staff clearly didn’t care about what was going on. Won’t be back there anytime soon as there are better run courses nearby (Egwani, Wild Laurel,).
Of the three courses available, I prefer the Orange and White if only because the Red features more left hand doglegs that don’t set up well for my fade/slice. Greens were in very good shape considering how dry it has been lately. Not much rough and the fairways were in good shape. While the course was fairly crowded, we moved along nicely with only the occasional delay. Always enjoy seeing and chatting with Harold.
Value with views
Planned on playing 18 but tried all 27. The surrounding views are excellent. Other than a limited clubhouse, this course will be enjoyed by almost everyone. It is a relatively easier course but depending on the pin location, can make your long drive on the wide fairways obsolete. Will plan on playing here a few more times before end of the year.
Not the best experience. Was a party of 2 and the course paired us with a third even after we stated learning... the gentleman they paired us with never stopped at the ladies tees so I could tee off. He drive right in front of me more than once. We left on the 4th hole and went to a different course to play. 90.00 shot to heck.
Had to wait
Teed off at 8:00am, no wait until the 4th hole. Once we got to the 4th hole it was stacked, waited just about 5 minutes for every shot after. The course itself is in good shape!
Great golf course BUT
Golf pass lied!!!! I was told I would be playing with 3 others but no!!! When I called them I spoke to someone that could barely speak English!!!!
Golf Course Starter
One of the golf course starters had an attitude when I was looking for my ball. He said they have received complaints (directly them to me and my friend) that we weren't moving fast enough --- which was not the case at all. He even had the audacity to say we should just pick up and skip to the next hole. Look...I have no problem letting someone play through that's better than me, but I paid to play 18 holes of golf. I'm not skipping anything and to even suggest that is not cool.
Great place!
Very fair course. Beautiful condition. Easier than some, but really fun.
Only takes one
Usually I love everything about Lambert acres but this one day there was a woman working behind the counter and she was the rudest and most arrogant person I’ve ever dealt with there . She claimed she was one of the owners . She was argumentative from the get go and since I had used GolfNow she was very negative about GolfNow. She basically was telling me how successful their business was and they didn’t need me or GolfNow. I have considered lambert acres my home course for years and years but if this woman is who I would have to deal with I would find another golf course to call my own
Course does not have tee times during the week and I was informed that they are not connected with GoflNow.
Never again
Beautiful well kept course with amazing scenery. It’s unfortunate that the tee times and groupings of this course are so poorly managed. My brother and I had a 7:10 tee time and was paired up with another twosome, which is pretty standard and would not be a problem if everyone was made to have tee times and also play in foursomes. It took us four hours to complete 12 holes, until we finally said enough is enough and left. We typically play 18 in three hours or less as a twosome. We waited on every shot, in turn we had to allow twosomes to play through, which added to the wait. Everywhere you looked there were people waiting. If you are so concerned with money, raise your prices, the course is worth it. It would also keep some of the groups that would hit it 10 yards at a time off of the course. It would also help prevent all of those I repaired ball marks on the green. I reiterate, this is so unfortunate because the course is enjoyable and beautiful. Unfortunately this was my one and more than likely only attempt at playing the course. I assumed all the slow pace of play reviews online were just exaggerated. Unfortunately they were right on the money.
