Sleepy Hollow Golf Course
About
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Everything was excellent
Course was in great shape. Fast and difficult greens.
Tell your customers
Overall, nice layout risk/reward golf course. However, when you guys lay sand on every green and don’t tell customers before they tee off, that is beyond unacceptable. Ruined putting and hitting shots into every green. Golf ball was covered with sand while putting. This is, in my experience, typical for a metro park course. These kind of events cause me to not come back and choose to play at other, honest places. A golf course is a business, try learning some customer service.
Fantastic!
Friends told me that Sleepy Hollow was the best of the Cle Metro Gokf Courses, and they were right. I played at 11:30 and went out by myself. It was a nice change from the previous days playing at crowded courses with waiting on each hole. Greens and fairways were great. Interesting layouts with hills and interesting undulation. Playing fast, I found the course fairly easy. Though people said it was hard. Since I drive down the middle, I didnt get it too much trouble. Though it was 30 miles away, I will definitely play it again when I come home to Cleveland.
This course is great, I am not
Totally got ate up today. I couldn’t find the fairway, i was like that golden retriever in the 90’s cult classic homeward bound. Just completely lost. 2 putted just about everything, topped at least 5 different approach shots. Not gonna lie wanted to throw a couple clubs but kept it composed and finished my round. When I got home I took a nice nap so all in all I would say it was a good day. Oh yea completely forgot to mention the course. It’s one of the best in northeast Ohio.
Great Course
Greens still fast as ever even this early in the season. Bunkers very playable, many with new soft sand that you can play out of, only a few that had hard sand. Fertilizer sprinkles still visible on a few greens, other than that, course in great shape as usual...
One of the best in CLE
Great November day for golf. Greens were slower than usual and made for a good score today.
Great Course on Weekdays!
Sleepy is a great public course, and it is in great condition these days. It is a challenging track that I enjoy playing but I'd just suggest to play it during the weekdays or very early on the weekends because the pace on most weekends is less then ideal.
Tough Greens
Course was in great shape and and greens were tough with pin placement almost unfair to score well. Pace of play was slow(5+ hr. Round) as frost delayed play. Love the course and it was a beautiful fall day. I’ll be back.
