Olivas Links Golf Course

While not really a traditional links course, this is nonetheless links-ish (built on sand, near the ocean, afternoon winds, undulating terrain. The rough is not too thick, however, and there are trees lining most fairways. But who cares if it's the dictionary definition of links? It's a well kept course with firm and fast greens and a great layout. For the money and at a public course, the course conditions are excellent.

The bunkers are in desperate need of sand.

First time at Olivia’s Links. What a well maintained course. From the tee boxes to the aprons around the greens. So clean and plush! Balls in the fairway sat up so nice. I’m not use to having this being a rancho park frequent player. The greens were holding very well and rolled so true, balls were not bouncing on the way to the cup and where you rolled it it went clean. There is a large chipping green with sand trap and a large putting green. If you get the chance, make this park of your golfing plans. You will be happy you did. I will be back. Fore sure. Played in 4&1/4 hours great pace.

There is no clubhouse or food, so pack your lunch and bring your sodas. Your gonna have fun.

Course is in good condition. A lot of shrubs have been removed, makes course seems less intimidating. Weather is always great here.

The condition of this course was 10/10. Will definitely be coming back.

I don't know what they are doing but I sincerely hope they continue doing it

I think Olivas is in the best shape of any public course in Ventura County.

What happened???? They had the hole in the worst place possible on most of the greens and a few greens and been punched with small holes a few days ago, I guess and they had not been cut!!!

If you looked at the rest of the green most of them looked OK, definitely nicer than what we had to putt on today.

Very weird. It was as if they messed up the punching and the greens had not fully recovered properly and they just cut the cup there today, of all days!!!

This course is the best value in golf for the Ventura area. The course is well maintained, staff are friendly, and the cost is spot on for weekday play.

As soon as the club house opens up, this course will contend with the likes of Spanish and Sterling.
