About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Course is in good condition. A lot of shrubs have been removed, makes course seems less intimidating. Weather is always great here.
Great Course
The condition of this course was 10/10. Will definitely be coming back.
Fairways and Greens
I don't know what they are doing but I sincerely hope they continue doing it
I think Olivas is in the best shape of any public course in Ventura County.

Greens are HORRENDOUS!!!
What happened???? They had the hole in the worst place possible on most of the greens and a few greens and been punched with small holes a few days ago, I guess and they had not been cut!!!
If you looked at the rest of the green most of them looked OK, definitely nicer than what we had to putt on today.
Very weird. It was as if they messed up the punching and the greens had not fully recovered properly and they just cut the cup there today, of all days!!!
Best Value
This course is the best value in golf for the Ventura area. The course is well maintained, staff are friendly, and the cost is spot on for weekday play.
As soon as the club house opens up, this course will contend with the likes of Spanish and Sterling.
Enjoyable Links
Course is very enjoyable, greens are in good shape, few dry spots in the fare ways here and there. Overall a great value option.

Always a great course to play place to play was good huge rough nice greens
I played the course from the senior tees , since I am 78 years of age. The course conditions were very good and the greens in good shape.
The use of the senior tees made for an enjoyable round and I enjoyed the experience. Finally the pace of play was excellent and I appreciate that very much.
A golf course full of flowers
The golf course was brimming with flowers; the beautiful wildflowers at every single hole were truly impressive. It was my first time playing golf there, and I loved to play there that I cancelled next day's tee time elsewhere to play a second round the next day again . It is definitely a place I would love to visit again.
