Course in great condition, 2nd time playing there greens a little on the slow side today but ran true. The addition of the water on most holes makes the course a challenge. Staff are always friendly and this is better qualIty than some $90 courses.

The course is in great shape, tee to green. I made three 20-foot putts today, not just because of my amazing putting skills, but also because the greens are in such great shape - very uniform, smooth, no bare spots. I've played at Grand Oaks a few times a year for the past decade, and it's currently in the best shape I've ever seen it. After the February deep freeze, things were a little rough this past Spring. But all of the work I saw going on then to repair sprinklers, reseed the patchy areas damaged by the freeze, etc. have come to fruition given the excellent shape the courses in now. No issues with irrigation or utility easements or any of that from the past years either. This is a gem of course in the mid cities , a great in-between course for my dad in Fort Worth and me Dallas to meet up and play. I'm glad to see it's thriving and being so well maintained.

Course is not bad. What is bad is how everyone wants to rush and play. Not really enjoying the game. It’s like mama told them you better be at home in two hours. And for you to come out and play like that, then the question is why come out to “play”. The girls are friendly. But all the male staff except the black guy who is a Marshal are not friendly. They look like they are in a bad mood. Carts are clean. Course is clean. Water jugs clean. But some putting greens are a bit out of shape. Overall I will give it a 4 star.

Good value, fantastic staff, good conditions and enough water to keep you hitting it straight. These guys are definitely trying & it shows. Help them out and play a round here. You won't be disappointed.

I played 27 holes at Grand Oaks yesterday and I will definitely be back again! The course is pretty wide open, there were hardly any people out, and I zipped through 27 in 3 hours and 15 minutes. 5 par 3's and 5 par 5's makes for a pretty fun round of golf. The staff were super friendly and the carts were in great shape. The practice range leaves a lot to be desired, but the putting and chipping area was in great shape. They do have a full bar and great selection of beverages, however there was no one on the course selling. There are plenty of outhouses and water jugs throughout the course, which you will need because some holes provide little to no shade. This would be a very easy walk, but on a hot day, you would be baking for sure. A lot of the bridges have no safety railing and the cart path could use a lot of work on some of the holes. The parking lot is absolutely horrible and is in serious need of repair. I recommend this course to any golfer of any skill level.

Tough to beat for the price in the DFW area. Paid $38 to walk on a Saturday morning. Greens were a little slow and a couple greens had rough spots but the pins were no where near them and never came into play. Again, solid greens for the price.

Staff was friendly and helpful. beverage cart came by 3 times total which is always helpful. The bar is also easy to stop into between 9s.

Would 100% play there again for same price and conditions

We played on a morning after some light rain day of and moderate rain day before. The course remained in great condition. I think the tee times were spaced 10 minutes apart. We had no delays and never had anyone waiting behind us (may have been due to some cancellations as it had been wet earlier that morning, but even with rain, I encounter delays on almost every Dow municipal course). Jimmy was the Marshall. He was friendly, kept things moving as the group that got to the 1st tee box behind us was actually 20 minutes late. Rather than pushing them in front of us, he placed them on the 2nd tee box so it wouldn't delay us- how it should be if you're not prompt to your reserved tee time. Thanks Jimmy, see you again soon
