Grand Oaks Golf Club
About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Hidden jewel in Grand Prairie
Challenging course kept in great shape by a fantastic management staff. Greens are in supurb shape as are the fairways. Watch out for the water, course management is a must out here!!!
good course, greens are dry
my fourth time playing this course. Greens were dry and slow..but thats texas this time of the year!
Great course
Great course, greens well kept, fun, challenging, very helpful staff
Friday round
Grand Oaks is on our rotation of courses we play regularly. It is an interesting course, not particularly difficult, but with a variety of holes. It is a very good value and tee times are readily available. The main shortcoming is the absence of yardage markers int he fairways.
Love the course!!
Greens and fairways are well kept. Well worth the price. Finish in 3hrs at 9 am tee time.
Great course, but watch out for water hazards
Very Nice layout, but there are many water hazards, some not visible when taking your shot. However, they are listed on the scorecard. Review carefully until you become familiar with the course. Grand old course, great value.
This course has great features
Greens were great, didn't feel rushed, and the staff was very friendly.
New favorite!
Had a great time today. This course is in great condition. Fairways are plush and the greens were much better than I expected for the money I paid. Rolled true and held approach shots well. Course has a nice layout allowing use of every club in my bag. Pay attention to the hole layout as there ARE some hidden hazards. Played entire round with one ball if that means anything. Cannot speak for staff too much or food. I was in and out in just less than 4 hours. Can't wait to get back here.
Outting with Friend
Best shape every!
I played grand oaks for 15 years visiting from kansas. staff always been very professional and friendly.
Condition of course best every!
Thanks for the great time:)
Nice tract
Overall great value. Course is pretty open for the most part with the exception of maybe 4-6 holes that have trees lining the perimeter. Good course for people who lose alot of balls because they are pretty easy to find on errant shots. Still challenging for an advanced player. A canal winds through quite a few of the holes and actually has water in it. Which I thought was a nice touch. Greens, fairways, tee boxes all in good shape. No gps but they do have yardage markers at 150 and 100. Overall good course. Id say it's slightly more enjoyable than prairie lakes golf course which is right around the corner from it. But both are playable. I shot an 88 which is about my average. I'll play here again.
Good Quick Round
Course was in great shape....Pro Shop staff was very friendly...easy in..easy out....played as a single, groups on the course allowed me to play thru when applicable...nice day at the course!!!
Very close
The greens are very close to being very good. Nice trek. Very friendly staff.
Grand Oaks
This was my first time to play Grand Oaks. It has a lot of creeks running along side and thru the fairways. Some fairways are narrow but in good shape
Good value
Pace pf play good. Condition of greens and fairways good. Dollar value good.
Fourth of July
Very courteous staff. Good greens. Open but challenging. Great pace. .
Hidden gem
Excellent course for the money. The layout is a big positive compared to most courses in its price range, and I've never had a round take more than about 3 hours.
Good time
Look at the layout first or play with someone who has local knowledge. Fun to play.. Bunkers could use some sand..
Good to be able to play here again.
Up until two years ago, we were employed in Grand Prairie and Grand Oaks (Grand Prairie CC) was a regular stop for us. When we retired in April 2012, we played a round of golf before heading out of GP. In the two years it's been since we played this course, the changes and improvements were outstanding. The Mai family has done a wonderful job upgrading the course and improving the aesthetics of the layout. We don;t reside nearby any longer, but we will be returning to play again.......and again.
Looking Good
Haven't played here in a while but the course is in great shape and playing very nice. Can't wait to make it out again!
Good course
Good course, Good staff, fairways in great condition along with the greens.
