Chippewa Golf Club
About
Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown sits just a few minutes south of Akron. It's one of the area's most popular public courses. Opened in 1962, the golf course has a traditional layout that sprawls across rolling hills. The undulating landscape provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is key since mature trees frame most of the holes and the massive, contoured greens also present a challenge. If you can keep it in the fairway, there are some great birdie opportunities on the par 5s. Overall, Chippewa Golf Club is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy with the exception of the treacherous 14th, 15th, and 16th holes. This trio, nicknamed the "Bermuda Triangle," will test the putting skills of even the best golfers.

Excellent Fall Condition
This course is in amazing shape for mid November. It was cold and following a rain and wind storm over the last couple days and the course was just in excellent shape.
Challenging course, beautiful layout.
Tough greens, well taken care of. The long tees will test your game.
The course is very Challenging
This course is one of the best around .They really take care of it.The green s really roll true A must play course.
Chippewa Fall Pricing
Played a round in Oct and can't believe they were charging $60 and the rangers do nothing to improve pace of play. The course is nice but barley worth the $60 price in the middle of summer but $60 in October is ridiculous
Love the amen corner. Greens were in great shape and consistent but a little slower than previous years.
Great local course
This course is very well maintained. Great greens and tee boxes. Nice golf carts

I'll be back!
Super nice course with exceptional greens. A great test of all your golf skills and those Finn golf bikes are very cool.
A great challenging course in Northeast Ohio
I’d heard quite a bit about Chippewa over the years and although it was only 20 minutes from my home, I never took the short trip to play it. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a great experience. Players have the opportunity to either walk, ride in a cart, or take advantage of the new solo scooter carts that are now becoming popular on the courses.
This is definitely a shot makers course. At over 6,100 yards from the white tees, narrow fairways and rolling hills make themselves plentiful starting on hole one. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in immaculate shape. The groundskeepers really take care of this place.
If you have any clubs that are a chore to hit, I would highly recommend you either practice it on their range or leave it in the car. Every club in the bag is needed for this course. Greens are commonly protected by sand or water (mainly on the back 9).
Bottom line, if you want a challenging course for a good value, definitely consider Chippewa.
